It is probably the PG ratio and possibly the nic contributes. Maybe try a brand with a 50/50 PG/VG (Dekang is 75/25) and try 24 and 18mg nic to see which hits the spot for him. I know you dont have a ton of selection there- you may find USP Vegetable Glycerine in a pharmacy and add 25% also. that would mix the existing bottle to 50/50 and 18mg. Im not certain how easy that is to find there, but Im sure one of the local Singapore vapers will be along with info on it.

Perhaps its something to do with how he inhales as well as the strenght of the nic.In the beginning I inhaled into the lungs because I treated it the same way as a cig.Now I inhale into mouth ,hold it for a second or two & exhale, sometimes through the nose.I think different juices & their make up can have different effects.I had a spell when I couldn'texhale through the nose because it became uncomfortable & scratchy throat but it just passed one day thankfuly.Big learning curve this vaping.

Vaping is banned in Singapore, hahaha! But if there any differences between VG and PG in the feel department? Do most people able to tell the differences between VG or PG? Sorry for asking so much but I am not a smoker and don't know how smoking feels. I only wish my dad to lessen his smoking habit and transition to vaping be as smooth as possible.

Vaping with pg is brutal for some. I'm slightly sensitive to pg, and vaping anything with 70% or more pg is like gargling broken glass to me.

Any online seller that you recommend of 50/50 or pure VG with large selection to choose from?

The VG/PG ratio must be what's burning my throat also. Seems to come and go but most times it's there. Currently ordering from MBV and am fairly new so I didn't change their default 80pg/20pg setting. Will try 60/40 or 50/50 on the next order.
That same thing happened to me. I went from 80pg/20vg to 60/40 and it disappeared!

Yes! Higher amount of PG can hurt your throat. I know because it happened to me.
