Hey guys.. I'm no DIYer, but I have some pretty tasty juices that simply have no throat hit,, and I really need that! I read somewhere that Liberty Flights has a throat hit additive, but I've searched their site and I can't find it. Does anyone know what it is? Would it be ok to just add it to the bottles of pre-mixed that I have? I'd hate to waste 3 big bottles of some tasty stuff just because they don't give me any ooomph... 'preciate any help!

I'm on the wrong computer to find my link, but I know a vendor used to carry a product called throat hit plus.
This same vendor now has a (different?) product that is described as slightly menthol I believe.
Now for me, throat hit wasn't a "tingle" like you would get with minty/menthol type flavor. It was more of
the feeling of the smoke hitting the back of my throat, not tingly to me.
So.... I if I can find my link, I'll post if for you, but if you're like me, it may not be what you are looking for.

FYI............I appreciate no confrontation, but, it is the opinion of the members of the medical forum that any use of capsaicin in e-liquid is harmful at any level. It is an irritant and could permanently harm the tissues of the bronchials and the upper airways. It is the active substance in pepper spray and is a food product but has been deemed unsafe to be used in tiny amounts during research to induce a cough reflex to analyze the effectiveness of cough remedies. This subject has been discussed at length with Respiratory therapists, nurses,EMTs and Physicians that vape and none would choose to use it. It is considered harmful at any dose.
Please don't shoot the messenger.....I am reporting the consensus of the medical forums discussion.
In my DIY, I achieve increased throat hit with PGA (which some medical professionals disagree with as well) ginger, clove, horehound, horchata and with higher PG or nicotine. Some DIY flavors should not have a throat hit. For instance, have you ever gotten a throat hit when eating a blueberry crumble? How about a green tea? I have also used a product from FA called smoke. It is a smokey flavor which pretends to be a flavor in your combustion which does cause the throat to hit. IDK why, perhaps a placebo effect.

Now who could shoot a messenger as nice as you, Bonnie..:)

Seems like I'd read something about this before, but I assumed that since I mixed it down to such a minute amount, that it was no biggie.

I may have to give the smoke stuff a try.

I just ordered some additives from ecigexpress - one of them is called Flash (from Flavourart) and it's intended to increase TH. Has there been any medical discussion on this one?

Thanks for the info - :vapor:

I think Throat Hit Plus, as well as Vapor Boost, was available from Totally Wicked and The Vapor Pro among others. Someone gave me some of each a while back, so it may still be available- mine originally came from The Vapor Pro. Since I never used it, not sure what it is - not taste and no determinable smell... to add some kick to a vape you might try a small amount of PGA... actually, now that I think of, that is sort of what this smells like.

do we know what gives it the name flash?

Because it's sold by a guy in a raincoat?

One thing I use that increases TH a bit is TPA Koolada. Just a couple of drops. If you put too much in it will give a cooling feeling, similar to menthol but without the menthol taste. The cooling can become quite intense if you use too much of it though, and the TH can be unpleasant.

I just got some of the koolada, too, Mud, and I really like it. It's far better than that minty flavor that is supposed to pass for menthol.

Even menthol crystals don't really taste like the menthol I've wanted.

To me, menthol isn't a flavor, it's a feeling, and a part of the whole TH thing. This mimics it much more closely than anything else I've found.

i've been adding small amounts of inaweras "morning rain" to tobacco juices for a bit of added th. it's.. i dont want to say menthol but it has a menthol feel to it, it's cool and you definitely feel it on the back of your throat. in small amounts added to a mix it adds a bit of TH although i dont know how it would workwith non tobacco juices.
