What's up everyone. About to pull the trigger on a nectar micro, manta 2 and derringer from chowderhead for my reo and other bottom feeders. I'm coming from an RM2 and want to achieve the same type of results from those 3 that I do with the RM2. I love my throat hit and decent vapor and chowderhead recommended these 3. These are 22mm but he said they would work well for me. I strictly run single coils. What do you guys think of these for TH? I haven't bought them yet so I could still change my mind.

I could be wrong, and I'm sure someone will correct me or add to what I'm sayin' here, but TH is to a large extent, dependent on coil placement (relative to the air intake). For example, on the RM2, as you raise the coil higher, TH increases, lower and it decreases. I would expect that to be consistant pretty much regardless of atomizer (within reason)

Well, TH can be achieved with most atties through choice in juice (nic level, specifically) and air (or coil placement) adjustments.

That said, each of the atties you list will get you the intensity of the RM2 easily. The nectar is a single coiler and most like the RM2 in terms of vape. The manta has top air which reduces leaking and mellows the vape (IMHO) but you can crank it up to beyond the RM2 with ease. The derringer is prolly the most aggressive of the list, but can be tamed a lot by dialing back the afc.

In terms of build flexibility, the derri will give you the most options - single or dual coils, more choice in terms of coil placement, greater range of afc.

I have a nectar coming shortly (so only going off of other's opinions/reviews), but the manta and derri are both stellar atties.

You guys are great! After reading up on them I came to the conclusion that I should just get them. Why not. Papa, I read up on the nectar micro and said it more of a tank than a dripper? Does it have a small tank on it? Is that what the blue ring is for?
The blue ring is, indeed, a reservoir for juice. It holds about 1ml. Those that top feed it claim they can get about 45 hits off of it when filled.

This is a moot point for our purposes, though. You don't need juice lounging about and the excess will drain back into the bottle as with other atties. Vape it like you would any other atty.

Reviewers say that the reservoir doesn't leak. Theoretically, there is no more risk than any atty cap has. Bear in mind that we won't be holding any juice in it - it will suck back into the reo bottle.

As for wicking, it's basically like a genny - just get the wick tails into the reservoir area (which, again, won't be filled, but it's where the juice will enter the atty when squonked). Doesn't matter if it's cotton, rayon, or RxW. Mesh is making something of a comeback, but my own experience with it is mezzo mezzo.

I suppose there is a chance that tank cracker juices might affect the plastic (if it is plastic - haven't held one in my hand yet).

Glad you asked here! Papa was one of the folks I had in mind when I told ya to post here, and he didn't disappoint! I knew he wouldn't. Like I said, the only one I've experienced is the derringer, and I'm really likin it!! Hard to imagine, but it's even gotten some of my nuppin love. Derringer took the stage atop my new woodvil yesterday.
