Just a newbie of 30 days and I have the ProVape with AW battery and use LR carts.
I have 5 carts that I have rotated thru out the day, for about 2 weeks. In the last day or so, I notice that I am getting less and less of a throat hit, that I had been getting.
Also, the carts seem to be getting warm after about 3 pulls and they have plenty of juice.
Same juice, 80/20 mix ( I drop a few extra VG drops in the bottle for a little more vape)
Are the carts starting to wear out??
I know you can clean, etc, but not sure I want to go thru all that.
I have not tried a new one yet, but may to see if that changes anything.

Any thoughts ?? For a better throat hit ???

You say LR carts and I assume you bought the 1.8ohm ones from ProVape. I use the same along w/the LR 2.0's from nHaler. Great cartos! I assume you are a heavy vaper since 30 days in and you have yourself one of the best MODS out there (well that was until the ProVari). So I get about two weeks on those cartos or around 15 mls of juice through them. If you are using them hard then after two weeks they owe you nothing. If you pull the cap and look at the wadding you will see a small black wire. I have gotten some extra life out of these cartos by gently (with a pair of tweezers) readjusting the wire. Just pull up on it a little and move it towards one side or the other. I believe the juice gets gunked and if you can get the element moved to a realtively fresher section of wadding you will see better performance. BTW - I never clean mine and chuck them when they get past usefulness.

Thanks so much for your input. Yes I am using the cartomizers from ProVape (not attys). I have moved the little wire a bit but does not change the throat hit aspect. I went ahead and filled a new cart last night and just vaped on it this morning. It was a big difference. I "hear" alot more (juice heating ?) and the throat hit was different. Then I tried one of the older ones again and there is very little "noise". Batterys are 30 days old and have good charges. I guess the olders carts are past their life span and that is ok with me. I don't want to clean them as others have suggested after I watched several videos about the
burnt filling thing inside.
Do you have the ProVape as well ??
1)If so, do you notice any difference in the LR 2.0's ?? Not sure yet what the difference would be from the 1.8 from ProVape as
I am still learning all the tech stuff.
Also, it was suggested by another memeber here, to get a "AW IMR 14500 LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery".I have the AW 14500-750 now.
2)Will that make any type of noticeable difference?? in throat hit--vapor or will it just make the battery last longer.
and last but not least
3) I want a smaller-more public use appealing- unit. Do you have any suggestions that would give me the SAME or close to
results as the ProVApe??? This would be my back up-public use only one. There are sooooo many models out there, but I want
to make sure I get close to the performance of the ProVape.
Thanks again to all who have given their input.
I am very thankful for this site and the people here who give their time and knowledge to help me and others give up those analogs!!! I am on day 10 today!!!!!

Yes I have a Provape w/a Provari on the way.

1) I notice little difference between the two. Technically speaking there is about a .75watt difference between using the 1.8ohm and the 2.0ohm. With 1.8 getting the higher wattage. This means a hotter element and more vapor but not really that much. Either way (1.8 or 2.0) you will get a nice hit. I actually have both batteries and in my opinion I believe you are currently using the best batt for the ProVape right now. Which is the AW high performance battery they sell for around $10.00 each on the ProVape site.

2) See above and I have found the AW last longer since the IMRs I bought are 600mah versus the 750mah of the AW.

3) For "out and about" I carry eGo batts. They are small, long lasting and dependable. They will handle both the LR 1.8 and LR 2.0 cartos just fine. You will give up some performance since it is a modulated battery and you get about 3.4v under load versus the true 3.7v we pull off of the ProVape. They are a good compromise though when whipping out the ProVape just isn't possible

I will also state that while I really enjoy the LR cartos I mostly drip (about 85% of the day) and love LR atty's. If big vapor and thoat hit are what you want then dripping on an LR atty (for me anyway) is where it is at. My favorite is the Cisco LR306 followed by the Csico LR510.

I am hopeful that the above info is helpful, finds you well and that you are happily vaping big clouds.
