Throat hit with high vg?

I recently ordered some Moo juice,80 vg 20 pg 3 mg nic from mt baker vapor and for some reason I'm getting a lot of throat hit from it. I'm used to my juice being smooth so this was a little surprise to me. I also let it steep for a week before dripping it. Any idea what could be the problem?

I've noticed that the nicotine MBV uses is unreasonably harsh. Also, some flavorings tend to be harsher than others. I think MBV uses FW flavorings, and personally I haven't tried their blueberry, but maybe someone else has and can speak on it's harshness.

I have some Blue Moo that is 50/50 and 0mg nic, and it isn't harsh at all. So I would venture a guess that it is the nicotine.

Allegedly, the "quality" of the nicotine used determines the smoothness vs harshness. Nothing against Mt Baker Vapor, but their e-liquids are some of the least expensive worldwide, so maybe they are cutting some corners with the liquid nicotine that they use. Just my
