I'm trying out some DIY juice tying to save a little money. I made up a couple of flavors. I made them a little more mild than I would prefer figuring they would get stronger with some steeping. Is this wright or should I add a little more flavoring? anyway my big issue is that I'm not getting any TH from the mixes, both are 10mg, one is 80/20 VG/PG the other is 85/15. I didn't add any PG to the mix and the nic base is 100% VG. my usual juice is 11-12mg 70/30 mix, the difference doesn't seem extreme enough to make this big a difference, but I'm not feeling anything.

Concentrations of VG that high also need 5 - 7% distilled water. On it's own it's likely to thick to wick properly and you'll get no vaper or a burnt taste or no taste at all. And as mentioned earlier try increasing your NIC or add some PG. Also not all NIC is created equal for instance MFS sells a harsher NIC that delivers a very strong throat hit but vaperstek sells a NIC that is very mild and has a very low throat hit. So depending where you bought your NIC and what brand it its also may have a lot to do with it. Hardware also has a lot to do with throat hit. A dripper or RBA deliver lots of flavor and throat hit where a carto or cheap tank deliver less. Battery also has a lot to do with it, to low a voltage setting gives you less flavor and throat hit and to high give you strong throat hit and burning wick taste.

To save yourself the tedious task of measuring distilled water each time you make a mix, you can try pre-diluting all, or a portion of your VG with 4%-5% DW ahead of time. It saves time by automatically adjusting the amount of DW in your mix - the more VG in your mix, the more DW (and vice versa.) I experience a distinct increase in TH using distilled water with VG.
