Throat hits are WAY too strong!!!!!!!

To me there is a difference between TH and throat irritation. If I direct hit to my lungs I get an irritated throat. I need a good TH for me to continue vaping. TH is much better than irritation

As with many things I see it more as a fine line betwen pleasure and pain; i.e. one being the extension of the other. You want to know you are having a smoke hence why anything 4mg or less in analogues do nothing for me no matter how many I have, I just do not get anything from them. (I still have not got my ecig so cannot comment yet around mg in them, but hope my 18mg nic 100% PG hits the spot)

I am looking forward to getting some kind of throat hit out of the Riva 510 SE which by all accounts I have read here gives off plenty of vapour. I suspect it is the lack of feeling while not having a "smoke" with patches, gum etc as to why these fail many people.

Like many other things, one size does NOT fit all. You do your research, make your best guess, then adjust from there. For myself ( a chain smoking, ultra light cigarette smoker), I've found that the lower the nicotine, the higher the pg mix I can use and not choke out from the throat hit. As others have noted, certain flavors irritate more or less so I also have to adjust the mix accordingly.
BTW, I also found that my first guess at nicotine level (4mg, the lowest available from my supplier) still gave me an unpleasant nicotine buzz. By starting to mix my own, I lowered that level and found a spot that allows me to vape a lot without the buzz.
Good luck!
