Hi, all - I quit smoking regular cigs about 3 months ago - Now I have the occassional black and mild - I am so addicted to the feeling in my chest it gives me - its so satisfying - i guess this is called "lung hit' or "throat hit" - I am not sure if they are same thing - bascially I need to know which e-cig gives the hardest hit - I want to feel it in my chest - if it tastes good that is a plus but really I just need a good strong hit. Which is best for this?????? Thanks!!!

I was in the same situation not too long ago. I smoked reds for 11 yrs and Black and milds.

After much input from the forum I decided on the Joyetech 510.(burns hottest but uses more juice)

everyone said it would hit really hard.....and it does. I have the manual batts (recommend) and I have to stop at about a 3 sec hit. It'll go 5-6 sec within reason.

And for that hard hit get some 36mg Nic juice to vape on. (higher nic=harder hit)

But if you really want the super hit get a big daddy like the screwdriver or the prodigy(expensive) etc or visit the modders thread and build you a NicoStik(cheap but very effective) :D

Sidenote: the 901 and 801 are great but dont hit quite as hard. They do give you a better taste since they dont burn as hot

i think the best units for vapor production are the 510 and the pen style, (dse801 i think)
juice plays a factor too, if your looking for good throat and lung hit a high MG is recommended like 24mg or higher, 18mg totally satisfies me personally.
Some juices just vape better too, some of the better ones ive seen are menthol and RY4
hope this helps

Amp, the manufacturer does not recommend longer than a 5 second draw..

I concur, the 510 Titan/Yeti/Dura-C model definitely provides the superior throat hit, but in my experience I've noticed the 510 tends to be the destroyer of juice...LOL. To clarify, I noticed that I consumed ALOT more juice with the 510, plus the flavor of the juice was considerably diminished. I ended up back with my RN4081. Still packs a punch, plus keeps my juice tasty.

The majority out there will say the Joye 510. I won't disagree. It's a beast and not that expensive.

Only the majority of those who haven't used a 5 or 6 volt device. The OP asked for the biggest throat hit. How you can believe that a 3.7 volt device can provide better hit than a 5 or 6 volt device is truely amazing not to mention not close to being accurate.

The OP asked for big throat hit. And you truely believe that the 510 or 4081 gives better throat hit than all the 5 or 6 volt PV's. How is that remotely possible?

For me it's a 510 while "tail piping". That wins over the analogs for me every time. In a hard crunch a few drops (3-4) of 48mg down the old tail pipe gets rid of the desire post haste. Sorry I hardly ever use a tip, possibly I will after my prodigy ships! :w00t::w00t::w00t: 5-6 volts for the Win...

Good choice in the Prodigy! I've seen where others tail pipe with PD but I guess that's too radical for me.;)

Well, I ordered the RY4 in 36mg - and the Joye 510 - that comes with 5 prefilled cartridges of a lower nicotine level so it should be good for experimenting. I did read that the higher the voltage the harder the hit - but I figured this was a good jumping off point. If worst comes to worst I can return the 510 and go with a higher voltage device if need be. Thanks everyone for the advice!

My apologies, I really didn't clarify much here. I was only comparing the standard e-cigs here. I haven't had a chance to try the Prodigy as of yet, but I took one draw from a Screwdriver a few weeks ago....all I can say is whoa nelly! Definitely no comparing a 510 to a SD, SD stomps every time. The price tag though is a little steep for my allowance though, my wife would have my hide...LOL.

Thanks for the clarification and you are right on with your initial impression of the Screwdriver. :) The Prodigy is even more impressive and costs less.

When considering cost, you have to remember, in the long run, devices like the SD and PD will cost you LESS money because the cost of the batteries are about $2 instead of $12-$20 for yours. Plus, the $2 batteries will never be banned, either.

Right on wv2win...I need to have the ECF community sell my wife on one, that way I don't end up on the couch...LOL.

The basic of this I posted somewhere else but here goes again.
First I gotta say, a five second draw is a long time!!!
My 102 is pretty much like a cig, you take a drag and then exhale.
I'm off nicotine and that helps a lot with the throat hit.
Since I don't have that, I do PG/VG 50/50 mix. Then I use McCormicks mint and peppermint extract for flavoring. Both of these have alcohol in them. I get great vapor and a great hit--at least enough to satisfy me.

Just ask your wife what your life is worth. Emphysema is a ....., trust me... Lost my brother last year to cancer. For me I really would like to meet grand kids before I get dirt on my nose!!!! Really hard to believe that a SD, Prodigy or whatever your choice is more expensive the analogs at ~$5.00 a pack in the US.

Sorry... Bummer mode off. :hubba:
