Through the wash

So yea... essentially forgot about a battery in a case in a pocket, and stuck it in the wash.
Here in Asia, We dont have heat driers, So Its air dry..
Battery safe to use you think? It definitely did get wet.... I wanna quick response... which is why i am posting here.

What kind of battery?

Chances are it's trashed and even if it isn't might be more trouble than it's worth to make sure.
Definitely do not just try using it.
If you want to try and save it here's some things to do.
Stick it if a sealed container of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture still in it - leave it like that for a couple days.
check it with a meter
if still looking ok put it on a charger for a bit but keep an eye on it
then maybe give it a try

In the longer run it's probably just easier (not to mention safer) to toss it and get another one.

Uhm, Cold water, not hot.... so... i figured, not really electrical...

hot or cold doesn't matter - water is still water
the laundry soap would have seeped in as well
if it was just a quick dunk most likely ok but going thru a whole wash cycle isn't good
it was in a case so most likely didn't banged up but check it for any visible dings or whatever - if it has any then definitely trash it
if you still want to keep it then do the above and don't test it on anything expensive - try it out on cheap gear

I got a sad just seeing the title of this thread. But yeah what mac63 said... bowl of uncooked rice 2-3 days check with a multimeter.
