Thumbnails that don't expand

I seem to be seeing quite a few posts where attached thumbnails won't expand when clicked - they're usually accompanied by a line of code. eg post #1 here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cosmetic-mods/269814-wood-mod.html

I've found that if I really want to see a photo, I can 'quote' the post in an unposted reply, and then the thumbnails are clickable.

Is there an easier way around this ? (I'm assuming that there's an error in the original posting, and that it's not just me! )

I just checked that post and it works fine for me. It must have just been a transient glitch.
