Just my thoughts....

I find it very strange to post a question about bringing something tats not approved by law into a 'highly confined and guarded restricted area that is out of bounds to civilians with regular/irregular constant checks and absolute restriction to your daily routine', this along with the notion whereby the chances of being apprehended is increased 10times or perhaps 100times fold, with a heaftier penalty... and all the while hoping for someone to provide an answer to the question is even more stranger.

But yep tats just my thoughts, y dun u bring in the RY4 n an ego...vape in there right at the yellow box...or perhaps choose to use watever time u left to reduce ure nic intake...to perhaps be able to restraint ure self from smoking... Or perhaps bring in analogs....I guess these answers u already know before posting...so wats ure real question u wanna ask actually.......

When you hit 40 you'll be placed in mindef reserves if you did not volunteer for more ICTs. From ORD to 40yo, you're require to complete 7 high key ICTs and 3 low key ICTs. So based on the fact that they cannot call you back for more than 1 each each work year, you have 10 years to complete your 10 cycles. This wan cannot siam wan and typical gahmen sector mentality is that if they did not call you back while you're still legally required to serve, you are supposed to contact your unit on why did they not call you up. Also, you are also exempted from serving ICT if you're studying in NUS, NTU, SMU or overseas universities. SIM is not included because the degrees conferred are not by SIM per se but conferred by the respective overseas universities.

So if you completed all your ICT cycles you're automatically placed in mindef reserve regardless of age. Of course, if you want to complete your ICT cycles earlier to minimise disruption later in your working life, you can request to serve ICT during your school holidays. This way you can serve at least 3-4 ICTs with minimum disruption. By 30yo you can effectively be placed into mindef reserves.

First of all I apologize that maybe this post has offended you.

Definately I'm aware of the risk involved and it may sound stupid trying test the 'law' and trying to get the answers through here.

I got off from analogs and started vaping not long, around 2 months or so, im trying to stop the use of cigarettes and finally nicotine consumption as well.

I created this topic mainly due to hoping we could share some pointers here as this is what most man in red dot will go through.. and I'm sure most quitters wouldnt want to touch analogs after they start vaping.

Its an open discussion. Not a qns and answer. Whoever opt to bring in a pv to a restricted area its his own responsibility and He himself will bear the consequences.

All in all if I've offended anyone, im sorry! :vapor:

Some things can b discussed, some things can't or don't need to be discussed. And no man at a young age should bear consequences without clearly weighing the situation first. Being in a detention barrack with a heafty fine base on your own decisions doesn't do anyone around you any good esp those closest to you. Perhaps the government implemented national service, for a man to know his own decision and how every decision whether good or bad has consequences, clearly sometimes certain things can be avoided. Lesser of two evils...analogs or risk being apprehended....now tats the real question a young man like yourself have to weigh. U quit, u can do it again or during the weekends. U get apprehended....there is no...return.

You have not offended anyone nor myself, this is the real world and hope you treasure harsh advises as a moulding of your character. We do promote vaping to everyone, but not at such a high risk especially if you have a good future ahead. Those who have been through national service or those like myself have ROD should tell you how life is inside a detention barrack....and it's truely not pleasant.

Thanks for regarding me as "young" Havent heard that for awhile :)

During my service I'm escorting people in and out of DB and I'm totally aware of the situation there, thanks for reminding.

Once again thanks for giving me "Harsh advise to mould my character" But I seriously think I don't need that. :)

As I said, this is a discussion and you're welcome to share your tips. Either there's a consequence to face or nt, it'll be the the person's responsibility.

I totally agree with what you're saying on a man at a young age should weigh on situation first before doing smth that he will regret for life. And I'm sure most of them here will know whats right and wrong. But I think its a little out of point here. Maybe this should be posted on a "quote of the day" column.

Anyway I guess I'll put a Mature 21 sign here to keep the "young" guys who does not know what's right and wrong out. And keeping the "old" from telling off people in this thread.

Cheers :vapor:
