I find that the main issue I have with cartomizers is running the 13 second cut off.

I take 5 second drags usually, and hit the button on and off twice during that time. I find it gives me my hit without causing too much heat. I find this allows me to vape without having to wait/swap cartos.

Just my little hint and/or tip. I am sure you will get a ton of others.

I am burning out alot of cartomizers....and yes I top them up OFTEN.

Should you wait 20-30 seconds before another hit to let the atomizer cool down....I often hit them every 5-10 seconds...mabe this is why they are burning out?

describe what you mean about burning out? I have some cartos that are not performing very well, but they still do work, just draw hard. Are the ones you have burnt out not working at all?

Is it possible for you have 2 e-cigs ready to vape at once? Switch back and forth? That's what I do. I have never burned out a carto that way. When one gets a bit hot I switch to let it cool down.

I agree with MaryKay. I have 7 or 8 e-cigs available and try not to hit on anyone more than others. I do have a Tornado :) that should be here tomorrow maybe (dang USPS). That might change things a bit.

You shouldn't have to top off cartomizers If you are using V4L batteries.

And if anyone were a heavy vaper it is me. I vape 36mg, nonstop and even upped it to 6-7 volts.

Never blew a cartomizer.

I am sorry MikeDeason, but I thought I complained a lot. WOW

Every topic you start is a complaint.

I didn't take it as a complaint. he was asking a valid question. I looked back at a few of his posts and they were more valid questions. Don't get the statement at all.

for some strange reason some of my cartos have a hard draw after refilling a few times, I hope that boiling them out will fix them.

Some of the cartos that I have refilled numerous times do get a bit sluggish sometimes. Boiling does help, but in between those deep cleaning times, I also make sure that there is a clear opening from the battery through to the top.

Sometimes the wick gets a bit off kilter, or even clogged up with teeny bits of dried/spent juice, and needs to be straightened out. Be sure that you can "see the light" when looking through that little hole, and if not, take something long and really slender (I use a needle from a syringe) to straighten the wick.

It works wonders and helps to delay the time consuming boiling efforts.

I've had a problem with a few of them burning out but I do believe it's because of the atomizer placement in the cartos. In some of my carts, mainly blanks - the wire will be up against the side wall, causing the metal to heat up and litterally cook the carto. Burnt my lip on one of them, after a few hours of use the color of the cart started to fade in the area that the wire was touching so it was easy to spot which cartos were really acting up.2 duds in one pack last month.

Ordered premium cartos that should be here today. I hope they don't have the same issue as from what I read, the new ones do better with heat?

Though if you let your cartomizer get too hot, will it waste juice? Could it degrade the flavor also? Never really put much thought into it but I suppose it could make sense. It's just a shame though considering I like it hot for a better hit.

C'mon folks, vaping takes a bit of getting used to, and can be somewhat of a learning curve for some folks.

Let's just be supportive.

Great attitude and feedback (as always) bornagainst! Thank you:) The support on this forum is awesome and the reason I placed my first order with V4L!

I think the trick is to not let it get too hot. When I power vape at night, I tend to have 2 batteries going. I take 2 or 3 draws off one, then take 2 or 3 draws off the other. Then I let them both sit to cool for a few minutes before drawing again. This works very well for me, along with putting in about 6 - 9 drops to top off every couple of hours.

I don't know about cart because I have never used them. What I did find out was vaping at 6 vols will destroy regular atomizers. Over a couple of days I destroyed 8. I just got some XHV atomizers and hopefully this will work. If it doesn't I guess I wont' be vaping 6 volts anymore. This will be ashame because I love 6 volts.
