Is it shortening the long-term lifespan do you think? Or is that something that doesn't concern you - ie. you're just going to toss it at the end of the day anyway?

It might shorten the life of the cart but then again im not really concerned with that. I believe i can get 3 or 4 days use out of it before I throw it away. But then again even if its just for 1 day im still ok with that. I was spending $15/20 per day smoking cigarettes and the occasional $20 monte cristo. At $2 for a cart and maybe $1 for juice im still making out like a bandit.

And when my juice box comes in maybe this will all be a part of the past. But with the current technology available i believe that the cartomizers offer the best available "convenient" vaping experience.

testing on the SB wont realy do many of us in this this forum much good, most of us here either use a 5V PT or 3.7V batts, witch will produce different results. but it will be informative to some. good luck though.

It wont really help you at all??? I guess i could put it this way....the cartomizer took a punch from Brock Lesnar (6V) it will take continue beating from Manny Pacquaio(5V PT) and dont even worry about that right hook your grandma is gong to throw (3.7V)

I vape pretty much exclusively with carts now.. going on about 3 weeks. I have yet to have one fail. I had been using some 6V with the grant, and the vapor is awesome. I have now replaced my desire for atomizers with cartomizers. I find the carts to be more durable than any 510 I have used. And much less trouble. The cartomizers produce more heat than the 901, and a little bit less vapor than the 510 ( at 3.7V ), but in the end, I find the flavor, the durability, the hassle all to be better with carts.

If u want to see how to wreck a carto don't fill it. as long as the cart is filled with liquid. It keeps the cart from frying cuz of fluid. Not letting it reach high enough temp to totally destroy it. Keeping it topped of will for sure only help prolong its life when vaping heavily.want to destroy a cart vape it till its empty and keep going. Pointless to keep it topped of hoping for it to break down.

Interesting idea but this was not the point of the experiment. The prevailing wisdom/thought is that you have to change out your carts every couple of drags for fear of burning them out or killing them. I followed this train of thought even though i really didnt understand why. As a heavy vaporer that meant i had 20/30 carts open at all times doing the drag-drag-change cart over and over all day long. And why? In 6 weeks i have never killed a cart.

So my experiment was to find out if i could "kill" a cartomizer by overusing it but also operating it properly. Thats why i took 60 drags in a 10 minute period. Nobody will ever take that many drags in that time frame in every day vaping but now they know that if they keep the cartomizer wet that they can if they so choose.

The cartomizer is remarkably resilient and if operated properly you can get 20 drags in rapid succesion before you need to tinker with it. Now if your happy with drag-drag-change cart then by all means keep on keeping on. But i was not happy with this scenario.

Some might say that I will use more juice doing it this way but i beg to differ. On your standard KR808 battery you are taking 6 to 10 second drags to get 2/3 of the hit that i get in 2 seconds on my 6V Mod. This is also the reason that everyone loves there PT. The extra Voltage brings out better flavor and you can take shorter drags. Remember the motto....LONGGGGG SLOOOWWWW DRAGGGGSSS. They say that is how you are suppose to vape. Well again i have found a better way.

But thru out my journey there is still nothing to compare to the convenience of the cartomizer.

Wow. I haven't seen that here. I missed it some how.

That would be ludicrous and I'd have instantly thrown them in the garbage. On average, I vape ten minutes or so every hour or so. When I'm working on some difficult problem, I may vape continuously for a couple hours easily. Same way I used to smoke. Anywhere from a quarter pack to two packs a day, depending whether I was heads-down working, on the phone, or problem-shooting.

SB is Silver Bullet and it's a 6 volt battery mod. I personally prefer the taste at 3.7 volts, some are great with the 5 volt PT but most I prefer at the lower temp.

Actually, while the SB is capable of using 2 RCR123A 3.0 volt batteries to do 6 volts, the default use is one 18650 3.7v/2400mah battery.

In other words, you can have 6 volts or 3.7 volts. The 18650 will last all day with some pretty heavy use.

How did you spend $20 a day on cigarettes? What are they from Cuba or somethin
