Time for a new adventure!

Hey all.

Name's Kitt, and I just joined the forums today after ordering my first kit from Vapor4Life; it should arrive in the next day or two, so I'm very excited to try this new experience and get off the regular cigarettes for good. I've never tried an e-cig before, but I've been interested ever since I saw the Smoking Everywhere kiosk in a Durham, NC mall a couple of years ago.

To give a little background: I'm 24 years old, been smoking (legally) since 18, chainsmoking consistently for the past 4 years. Personally, I could take or leave the nicotine, but after 4 years of constant hand-to-mouth cig smoking, I have definitely gotten used to the habit, which I find to be the hardest part of quitting smoking. Anyway, I saw the Smoking Everywhere kiosk about two years ago and was instantly intrigued - first, it just looked really cool; it also struck me as a great way to replace a nasty habit like regular smoking. Unfortunately, I was not willing to shell out the $150 for the starter kit, and being that it was a relatively new product, I was wary about how good it actually was. But it's been in the back of my mind ever since.

Flash forward: about a week ago, I was chatting with an online acquaintance, and she kept raving about Vapor4Life e-cigs; how amazing they taste, how they helped her with her cig habit, what great values they are and especially all of the great flavors available. Anyway, that re-sparked my interest in e-cigs, so I decided to do some research into the different brands that had come out since my first encounter. I was shocked with how many were available, now, with the flavors and different sizes and mods... I found a nifty site with side-by-side reviews, which definitely helped to narrow my choices down; not only did all of my acquaintances and friends who have e-cigs recommend the V4L, but it is also the highest ranked brand in the US (according to that site). On top of that, they also have the best deals as far as carts and eliquids and starter kits go.

So, after hours of online research and countless vlog reviews on youtube, I finally ordered my first kit: a V4L mini-PCC kit with a batter in gunmetal platinum and a black case, Parlament carts and plenty of extra flavors to try out. It shipped on Friday, so it should arrive tomorrow or Tuesday! I'm extremely excited to get started.. thanks for listening to my rambling intro! :D

Welcome to ECF uphill! Congrats on your V4L! I have the 510 myself but have heard many great things about V4L. Sounds like you have done your research and FORTUNATELY for you, you did not buy Smoking Everywhere! You have saved alot of money and headaches from what we have all heard. Wish you the best of luck during your transition and keep us posted on your progress!

Good luck in your quest to quit the analogs, it seems many people from this forum have quit smoking the analogs with the ecig and I too will be trying this shortly. So im sure in no time you will be waking up without the nasty taste in your mouth from the analogs and will be enjoying the taste of your favorite eliquid. Have a great week!!

Congrats - I personally think you have purchased the best e-cig on the market right now. (Mods excluded.)

I looked at the poll referenced above and not only is it dated, but it hides the VK/KR8's under the "disposable" label. I really had to search to find it. I think that's more than a bit misleading. The VK is not a disposable e-cig. The cartomizer ARE indeed disposable... but they can be refilled many times.

Please be sure to let us know how you like your VK/KR8!

While the poll I posted was started a while ago, the last reply was in October and the numbers change weekly still. Iow, people are voting without replying.

The cartomizer model is best known for the KR808D designation - plainly visible in the poll.

I'd point out that the mods listing doesn't really tell the whole story either. Which model is used with mods??? Well here's the answer:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/52813-atty-your-mod.html

The reason cartomizers are not listed on this one is that no one until recently ever made mods for cartomizers. They can be used on mods via adapters (and in fact I recommend that people who like cartomizers should use them on mods to get more vapor out of them).

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement on my journey from analogs to e-cigs. It's been 11 hours since I started using my V4L (it just arrived today!) and I have not been disappointed once! At least until about 10 minutes ago when I had to wait for my only battery to charge. :p You can see a full first impressions review on the SC Vapers group on this forum (ECF), but the gist of it is that I will suggest the V4L to all of my smoking friends who want to find an alternative. It is awesome! I've even convinced a friend to vape with me when I met him for coffee tonight. :D

Also, to answer a few posts, I wasn't trying to advertise V4L as the highest rated in the US, just that they were the highest rated in the US of those listed on the comparison site that I found. And for me, they had the best deal for starters of the websites that I viewed (mods not included). Also, where can I find that nifty V4L banner in the signature?
