V4L sent me an order shipped notice on Monday February 8th. It has not been delivered as yet.

The USPS tracking only states that they were notified by the shipper on February 8th.

I am in Maryland and we have had some weather problems to say the least. However, today is the 13th.

How long should I wait before going into panic mode?

I would call or email V4L and asked if it was picked up.

Considering it has no record of them even picking up the order though, it is worth notifying V4L.

it really doesn't have to be scanned at pickup, but from my experience with v4l, it usually does. So, there should be some concern.

This is from usps:

What information is available when using a service that confirms delivery?

The only information provided for services that.confirm.delivery is the date and time of delivery or attempted delivery. Delivery confirmation services do not provide tracking information for an item in transit. These services are designed to be a less expensive alternative to tracking.

Their NOT REQUIRED to scan even at pickup or drop off or along the many stops the package takes. Only when it's delivered.

Here in Sunny California, a gorgeous day with temps in the mid/high 60's at 10am, I'm waiting on half a dozen packages from IL (not from V4L) to come in right now, from the Big-3 shippers, all delayed. At least with UPS and FedEx I get "rescheduled delivery dates" but some of those are starting to slip again... Just as a datapoint.

My 1st package was shipped on the same date as you and I already talked to V4L and told them I would give it 2 weeks. I went ahead and ordered a new package on Friday, so if it hit the mail on Saturday I should receive by Tuesday latest. The confirmation number is only good for when it actually arrives at the post office and if it has they will let you know if it has been sent out with your carrier.

I wouldn't worry yet. It's the snow that's slowing everything down. I live in the eastern panhandle of WV and we went through one stretch during the bad weather when we only got mail 2 out of 6 days.
My first order was shipped on the 9th and I just got notification that it was in Baltimore tonight. I was pumped to get it tomorrow but saw where someone else posted no mail tomorrow due to federal holiday which I completely forgot about (talk about instant disappointment). I would think without question mine should be here Tuesday but I've learned to never assume things with the USPS.

I have 4 orders, one from V4L and they've all been in their origin pickup locales until this morning when I checked. Now they're in Boston so they're getting closer. Not to worry, and there's no mail today because of the holiday so mine will probably be delivered tomorrow.
Can't rely on the weather/deliveries during the winter months.

Hang in there
