I've been using an eGo for about 6 months but it cracked in half (ya, in half, ...) over the weekend so it's time to step up.

I plan on ordering a Satin Black Provari w/ 2x 18490 batteries and a charger. I'm not sure what to do about a tank though. I have 5 ProTank 2's but I've heard there are issues with them on the Provari but can be kinda resolved by getting the Kanger Airflow Control Valve but not sure I want to deal with that. Rebuildables are also out as I have no interest in turning this into a hobby as I have limited free time as it is.

In short, I want to put juice into a tank, screw in the head and have everything work. Is the Nautilus the best option in this case or should I continue to deal with my Protanks?

I have used the aerotank by kanger and it's really good. The Smoktech Pyrex dct is also a viable option. In all reality my favorite tank is the kayfun lite and it only takes me about 3 min to rewick, and the flavor is way better than the others listed. I have used the same coil for about a month so it isn't as time consuming as one would think.

I use ProTanks only and don't find them to be "fiddly" at all. All you have to do is turn the tank upside down to fill..........not a biggie. I also only use glass toppers. Plastic will melt with some juices. For tasting my DIY results I have a few rebuildable attys but have absolutely no desire to depend on myself to rewick an atomizer before I can use it on a tank. YMMV

I kinda lied - I've been looking at the KayFun Lite+ also and don't mind rebuilding as long as it can be done in a reasonable amount of time and not very often. If I were to buy this package, what else do I need to get?

Kayfun Lite

You'll need Kanthal wire and some kind of wick material. A few tools, like nail clippers, screw driver, round something to make the coil, magnifiers if you have eyes like mine.

They sell out quickly so tomorrow they might be gone.

If it was me, I'd opt for an IBTanked tank and a Sophia. For me, it's the easiest to rebuild, though some think it's too small a space. What I like is the pieces are big, no screws to lose. I can do a rebuild on it in 3 minutes or less.

As far as how long the rebuild lasts is going to depend on the juice you use. It's the same with any atomizer though. Some juices gunk up coils quicker than others.

I just ordered one yesterday :)

I have used Protank 1s on the ProVari for a long time without problems, but Kanger has "improved" the heads and now I'm getting a very tight draw with some of them - it's China, quality varies. I see an airflow controller in my future.

I may be absolutely incorrect in saying this but there is a possibility that the Kanger AFC will not work on a PT1.

Now that you say that, I think I did read they wouldn't work. Thanks for reminding me, although I'm not sure if I will be using Protanks very much. (I like them for when I go out).

Glad to hear this, Ocey. :) I love my Kayfun Lite +. Easy to build. I'm using a 30g micro coil with cotton wick. 1.3 ohm @ 3 volts on my Provari (and Silver Bullet).

Having said that, the suggestion for an IBTanked pyrex tank is an excellent choice, too. They have been my reliable and dependable go-to juice attachment for well over a year.

Made the purchase last night...

Provari 2.5 (Satin Black)
Green LED
Charger
2x 18490 Batteries
KayFun Lite + (Second Batch)
Loki Labs Brushed Stainless Provari Ring
100 Ft. 28 Gauge Kanthal
10 Ft. 2mm Ekowool

I watched several videos on rebuilding the KFL and it seems easy enough. And for those times I don't feel like rebuilding myself I can purchase some premade ones (like these 5PRE Built Micro Coils Kanthal A 1 28 Gauge Pre Wicked Mechanical Mod RBA Kayfun | eBay) to have them ready to go.

Should be a better setup than my eGo Twist + ProTank 2 :)

Thanks for your help!

Just order 5 of the aero bases to replace the original base in your PT2's...... They are cheap as I have seen them as low as $4.00 each. I haven't had any issues with mine and have been using them for a little over a month.

SvoëMesto makes some of the ugliest drip tips I've ever seen. You'll want to buy a variety of other designs. The Chaos by ONO (or a clone) drip tip is a favorite of mine on the Kayfun. It's pictured in my avatar.

Yeah all that stuff and this...

That's like saying a 2014 Jaguar XK is a nicer car than a 1985 Ford Escort hatchback. You are in for a treat. :)

that's a little steep for a drip tip.
BUt not as steep as this!
Under-Water-Adventure-1-300x298.jpg

$199.99

But wait - it's out of stock - which means someone bought it!!
Wonder what kind of mod it's on?

^ Thanks for the responses everyone :)

I was looking at the oNo Chaos tips and after shipping they 60 bucks since they come from Malaysia lol. I'll look into getting a clone.
