Button doesn't go all the way in on mine either with and battery I've tried, I assumed it was just a design flaw of some sort, spent a few days trying to adjust the switch and gave up and forgot about it until just now. If you happen to figure it out let me know if I could shorten switch and thereby shorten the locking ring throw it'd be perfect lol
