Whoah..you ain't messin' around are ya!

Awesome...taking off wide open out of the gate

36mg is gonna be high on the Nic scale...but you might like it, everyone is different

What are the specs on the Sony batteries...do you have a link for em?

Most people use AW or efest IMR batts, we get them from RDT Vapor but you can get them anywhere
Here is what I am rocking in mine..the are efest...but haven't let me down
http://www.rtdvapor.com/online-store/batteries/efest18650ft-detail

Get you a cheap fishing tackle box and make it your "vaping box" so you can keep all your goodies in one spot

Vape On!!!

I started with 36 for the first two weeks, then dropped to 24. I vape at 18 in cartos and 12 in RBA's now. Strong juice, at first, was the only way I could power through the cravings, and the lack of it in 2009 and 2011, is why I went back to analogs. Enter vaping 2013. Finally the gear, the juice, the batteries, etc. to defeat my old nemesis.....analogs. I think you're on the right track, you've done your homework, and made a great start. Even so, there's a near never-ending evolution ahead. Love the Protank and the Vamo, the Nitecore, and the Igo-L. You're way ahead of most at entry. Lucky you. Welcome to the Forum, happy VapeQuest, good luck, power up and vape on!

Welcome! :)

36mg does seem high to me too. I started at that mg level not knowing what else to go with and it proved too strong for me. If you become nauseated and/or have stomach pain or have headaches and/or dizziness, then you need to stop using that strength. Just know what signs to look for when using that level of nicotine.

Great purchases for a beginner vaper. I like the vivi novas and pro tanks, and my vamo has been a noble steed in my vaping journey.

Good luck to you!

Very nice setup. Esp knowing you bought quality batts+ charger. When you receive it set the Vamo to wattage. This way regardless of what ohms you put on the Vamo it will always fire at the same voltage.
Also be VERY GENTLE with the 510 connector- never over tighten as it is a weak spot though I've owned a Vamo V2 for 9 months and the threads are fine. Also own the Vamo V3 and it is definitely a step up in pcb quality IMO- oled screen and buttons feel more firm.
Best of Luck and Enjoy.

thanks everyone. comments and tips are highly appreciated. like any other hobby, there has to be a learning curve. i need what i can get to stay ahead of it at this time. so very highly appreciated, all.

batts; sony US18650V3 here... $10.06 Sony US18650V3 18650 3.7V 2150mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery (2-Pack) 2-pack - 10A discharge / with carrying case at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

i figure they're the ones that come with the vamo, so they have to be decent enough to do the job... and they're cheap with a pretty good capacity. will be looking to upgrade eventually, i'm sure. looking at a pair of provaris some time after christmas, possibly. the wife is a little clumsy, so i figure that might be the go to right out the door for her. i'm a little more tedious and technical, so can do without the most sturdy to get the ball rolling. hopefully the infamous "thread issue" on the vamos won't prove incapacitating before then. lol

thanks for the heads up on the high mg nic juice. symptoms are especially appreciated! i figure i'll probably be mixing before long, so that might just be a push in that direction. have to figure out what works for me and go from there. at up to 4 packs per day, i figure i'll be looking for the higher end of mg/ml, but i won't know right away as you guys already know.

"What made you decide to get a RBA?"

if you're asking about the igo-L, i plan on using that to explore new juice flavors with a fresh coil and wick to get a pure taste. other than that, i just want something i can maintain without having to constantly buy replacement... whatever(s). as a heavy smoker, i can definitely see going through equipment fast, especially if it's a one time use and discard type of deal. if i can just slap some new wick and wire in there, i see that as a great alternative.

again, thanks soooo much everyone. i don't know what i'd do without this place and youtube. i certainly wouldn't even be considering vaping at all if it were up to my local "smoke shops". considering i just moved, that includes shops in 3 states and 4 counties so far. i've tried a handful of what they had to offer and it just doesn't cut the vape cloud if you will.

watts... check! got it, thanks. will be careful on the threads for sure.

Prolly one of the more impressive kits I've seen as it has top and bottom coil clearos and an RBA  I only wish more took your approach. Here's the Vamo ECF Forum:

sorry for the double post. i have an update. picked up a tank airflow controller from stormy's vapor cellar to protect my 510 threads... and maybe help adjust the vape if necessary. somehow i missed this mod mod in my research.

thanks again. been digging through the vamo threads. just don't have much to add or ask until mine arrives. should give my juices some time to steep... which i hear is a good thing. :D

One thing to think about and I know you have 4 batteries for the Vamo. It also depends on why you are vaping. If you are vaping to just vape, then disregard. If you are in hopes to stop smoking then get yourself a spare twist spinner or similar type. Just to have a backup in case something happens to the vamo apv.

I had it happen to a similar device and hit a few smokes. Fortunately there wasn't a transition issue back to vaping for me. I just started vaping again with no issues.

Enjoy the vape.

Some juices that are fresh need steeping but those that have been sitting on the shelf at the Vendors won't. The Vendors should be able to tell you whether or not they need steeping. The absolutely worst thing that can happen to the Vamo is it's dropped and lands on the clearo or carto- always seems to mess up the threads. I always lay mine down rather than standing it up OR get a good stand for it.

Great advice!
Spare batteries (eGo Twist, Spinner) are a must, if you have only one mod and the batteries for that. :)

Happened to me, 3 weeks into vaping. Had 3 batteries (eGo type, that was in Nov 2011). One evening, 2 batteries broke and 1 was charging. I had to smoke the last 5 tobacco cigarettes in my pack (that had been lying on my coffee table untouched for 3 weeks). Ewwwwww.. yucky!!!!

Lesson learned: have spares for everything. And a spare for the spare :)

(the dealer exchanged the faulty batteries, but that did not help me at that moment...)

good thinking on the spare. i have an evo-t a friend gave me, but it's been without a charger and useless since i left his house with it... and now it's packed in a moving box somewhere. maybe in 2 weeks i'll pick up another vamo for a backup. (then when the wife and i pick up provari's, both vamos can be backups.) :p

makes sense that juice sitting on a shelf would be already steeped. i hear mount baker makes everything fresh to order, though. so i dunno. reviews commonly say their flavors are better after steeping for a week or more. i'll soon find out. :D

thanks again. you guys have been great.
