Has vaping helped cut your analog intake back? I'd imagine yes. So it's doing the job. Just need to give yourself that little extra push.

Backups and a higher nic. Maybe even 2 steps higher for those real craving moments.

The best thing is not to put pressure on yourself. That just makes it worse. Just sit for a little bit when you're craving. vape away. If it doesn't go away, have a cig. Then repeat again. Whatever you do, don't hammer yourself for having one. You managed to put it off for a spell. Next time might be longer. And subsequent cravings might be quelled even longer.

You do what's right for you. You're on the right path. Just that everybody's path is different. Best of luck to you.

I've been vaping for 5 days and now. Everyday day up till today I started off with a cigarette in the morning and then just Vaped the rest of the day. This morning I woke up and decided I would have a smoke. I took about 4 or 5 hits and had to toss it. It was so gross. I started vaping and all was good. I think I might finally be off analogs. I'll keep my fingers crossed. It's not easy everybody, I wish you all the best of luck. We can get off the analogs!

Right equipment and enough of it - enough batteries, enough chargers, enough attys and/or cartos

Juice that makes you mellow and enough of it, plus some contrasting flavors. And I recommend cartomizers

I like having an extra battery to leave my ecig(s) set up over night, for late night vaping, or if I wake up, and for first thing in the morning. And cartomizer make sure it will just work. No more fighting with a cart and atomizer when I want my first drag!

Smell the vapor. Most of the flavor is in the smell, just like with food.

Pay attention to how different juices leave you feeling. Some people cannot vape food flavors right away - I was like that and food flavors left me craving an analog as if I had just eaten. Some people do better only vaping food flavors that don't remind them of tobacco smell at all. And some people can vape any flavor right away. When starting to vape you want flavors/aromas and TH that leave you feeling calm and satisfied.

My tobacco-y recommendation is FreedomSmokeUSA Desert Ship (50/50 or 70PG/30VG for atomizers, 80PG/20VG for cartomizers). It's a Turkish blend, nutty and a bit pungent and the smell reminds me and many others of a freshly opened pack of smokes. It smells so tobaccoey I was no allowed to vape it in the car and had to stop vaping it in the office. Try hitting the Desert Ship when you crave an analog. I would also add interest to it by adding vanilla or caramel (for caramel I sued the sweet RY4 from FSUSA, oRYental 4) and their chocolate (Marlboros and Pall mall and lots of US cigs have cocoa in them so adding cocoa or chocolate to tobacco flavors really hits the spot for many)

If you can stay totally away from cigarettes it gets easier because
1. Cigarettes contain at least one chemical that makes nicotine more addictive
2. If you stop cigarettes then after 2-3 weeks you will get your smell and taste buds back and THEN you will realize cigarette smell and taste like crap

And re cartomizers - if you are not using cartomizers, try them. Slim ecigs can only use standard resistance. Fat battery models like Ego and Riva 510 can use LR (low resistance) ones that are hotter and give more hit. Mods can go further to very low resistance or apply more voltage to make the vape hotter. Heat enhances nicotine's hit. And in slim ecigs, the hottest is KR808D-1 (Vapor4Life or SmokelessImage Volt) manuals with 2.5 ohm cartos like Vapor4Life WOW cartos. And with cartos I recommend thin high-PG juices, especially light clear juices that leave no carto-clogging flavoring sediment. I use 20% VG and less. Thick VG juices like Avejuice mentioned above have nice hit and big vapor but are more suited to atomizer (but everyone should try their Boba's Bounty).

Your really doing fine. We all struggled in different ways. For me it helped a lot to tell mysel that I was NOT quitting smoking. Only changing the brand I smoked. It helped take away that horrible anxiety I got every time I contemplated quitting. Hang in there and be proud of what you have accomplished. We rooting for you!

Sorry to threadjack here, but this is funny. I don't think I ever EVER switched brands. Started on one, and stayed on it. Sure, had a few others here and there. But I stuck with one brand.

Vaping however is a completely different story. Don't know why. But I've changed my hardware (eGo to RoughStack, now looking at the Buzz Pro, atty's from SR to LR and still deciding Joye vs Cisco). And then there's the juice. I've tried a few. I haven't hated one. Wait, didn't like cola. That was bad. But the rest, they're good enough that I'm happy. Yet here I am looking at NEW flavors. So many options to vaping. And for some reason, now I need to test it all out.

OP, once again, sorry to threadjack.
