Hi all -- I used Vision V3 clearos exclusively for a year, rewicking with cotton. I've used less than 6 heads in that time, as they're so easy to rewick.

Anyway, on a whim, I picked up the T3s. I enjoy the vape more than the V3, but am wondering if there's some trick to re-wicking it with cotton. The coils seem very fragile...I can only rewick 4 or 5 times before they're all out of whack. Never had that issue with the Vision coils.

Also, the coils seem very sensitive to how tightly I twist it on the battery. Just a few MMs too far, and the coil gets twisted.

Might just be the nature of the beast, since the coil directly touches the battery. The V3 is seperated from the battery by the post.

Anyone have a specific tip or trick? I'm pretty gentle when I remove the wick...

Only issues I've had are with the flavor wicks. Once I pull the head apart to dry burn, I replace them with cotton yarn.

Haven't had to replace the main wick yet, just rinse thoroughly under hot running water. When it comes to that point, I'll just rewind the coil and use silica for that. Have had a couple of T3 (not S) going for several months without needing to recoil or replace the main wick.

I never considered simply running hot water over the main wick...however, how do you clean your coils if they're gunked up? Can't dry burn cotton.

That's why I use silica for the main wick, and replace the flavor wick.

When I need to dry burn, I remove the post and flavor wicks - which usually I toss. You need the post off, and the flavor wicks as well, to see the coil for proper dry burning. Then dry burn, with the silica wick still in, until good. Another rinse, then replace the flavor wick with cotton yarn and replace the post.

I find a single strand of the cotton yarn works well for me, with my juices. As flavor wick! Nope, can't dry burn it, which is why I still use silica for the main.

You can also try a twist of teflon tape around the wick to aid in threading it through the coil. It wraps down tightly, and comes off easily. Might help your coils last a bit longer if you're rewicking them.

I use cotton balls for all my rewicking. Just pull off a little bit and press it in your fingers to make a thin strand. Then twist one end into a fine point. This you can thread through the coil. I pull it through until the cotton fills the inside of the coil. If it pulls the on the coil, there's too much cotton and you need to pull some of it away with a pair of tweezers. I don't bother with flavor wicks, but I do make sure that the wick fills the space in the slot below the center post/tube. Be sure to drip some juice on the coil and new cotton before reassembly. Vapes very well and last as long as any other method I've tried.

This is what I've been doing, too. I fluff out the wick to make sure the hole is covered. No leaking, except for when it gets down to about .5 ml juice left.

It looks as if the cotton expands once wet, and when I try to remove, it jiggles the coils. After a few re-wicks, the coil is out of wack. This never seemed to occur with the Vision V3 heads, though I rewick in the same fashion. Odd.

Might just have to be willing to use a new coil after 2 or 3 weeks. Worth it for the vape. I'll just keep the T3s and V3 in rotation...T3s more for home use. V3 seems to travel better.
