I just got done reading a thread in the new members forum that bashed gotvapes because of price. I am so tired of it. Then I spent 10 minutes writing a reply and the thread got closed down. (which I was happy to see)
I have a question for all of the people that are complaining that something is $1 -$2 more a box than other vendors. Are you this thrifty at home on other things? Do you use coupons at home? Did you shop the best prices when you bought analogs?
Many of you are bashing a company for charging $1 more for something that will last you 2 weeks to a month or longer. I mean, really.
I am a couponer and am one of "those people" you see on tv. I have a family of 5 and my average monthly grocery bill, including food, toilet paper, shampoo, laundry detergent and anything else you can think of is about $100 for name brand stuff. But you know what, I spent about $70 a week on analogs. 3 times my grocery bill. I didn't price shop them, i didnt even blink when doing it. I bought analogs when I needed them no matter how much they were.
It would be one thing if gotvapes was selling something for twice as much as everyone else, but they are not, they're selling some items for 5-10% more. Not all items, just some. If you sign up for their newsletter, that 5% comes right back off. And i will pay the few extra pennies for customer service. I do the same at home. I buy all my electronics from best buy because of customer service and easy return policies even though I know I can save a few extra dollars going to another big name company.
As far as them branding it, think about the stuff you buy at home. Are you complaining about the fact that Kellogg's froot loops is the same exact product as the store brand but in a pretty box with good advertising at twice the price? Or that the gas at the Hess station is the same stuff as the no name station down the street only more expensive?
Most of these companies do work closely with manufacturers, at least the big ones do. They call the manufacturer and tell them what they want, tweak it a little to their specs, recommend changes when there is a problem, then advertise that they do that. And yes, other companies do reap the rewards beause when it works, the manufacturer sells the products with their "fixes" to everyone. Gotvapes is not saying they are the only company that sells a product like the phoneix ce3, they are saying they worked with the manufacturer to develop it and make it better.
