After spending several weeks tuggin away on my three Nautilus(BVC) tanks I've experienced many of the same issues others have. Popping, gurgling, flooding etc.. At this point I end up pulling the coil, swabbing underneath, blowing out the base of the coil and drying the chimney (main tube) as well.

One thing I find with the Nuatilus and Atlantis tanks is how fast and hard you pull can affect the gurgling an popping. I tend to enjoy slower pulls with the airflow turned down on one of the smaller holes. More of a juice taster if you will, after vaping like this for a while that's usually when I start getting excess juice, popping, flooding, etc..

What's been working for me lately is after a thorough swabbing(drying). I turn the airflow ring to the largest hole. Drawing the vape faster and much harder then usual like a fast lung hit. When doing this it keeps the chimney nice and dry no gurgling or popping. I know, I know but Bammer I don't like vaping like this. Well neither do I, its only good for cloud chasing and impressing my friends.:D

What your doing is establishing a nice clear and dry chamber. Now you can dial it down where you like it and pull slower if you like, more juice flavor, etc.. The minute you start to get gurgling or popping, open it up like I mentioned and hit it hard until it dries up. I don't expect everyone to try this or like doing it this way but it works for me and allows me to enjoy my Aspire tanks without the hassle of gurgling and popping.

I was having this issue with higher pg juices. Now I use 50/50 pg/vg, pull out drip tip & wipe down chimney after refilling and keep drip tip off with tank turned upside down overnight for drainage.

This has eliminated the gurgling issues & actually gives me lower ohm readings.

Also- unscrew atty on occasion & check if any juice overflows to the inside spring/head connection area of tank base. This often gets slight buildup of juice and condensation which affects clean battery connection.

I rinse & dry with warm (not hot) air from blow dryer at least once to twice a week after noticing gunked up juice in that area.

My 1.8 ohm bvc atty was reading 2.1 on my istick 30 w until I cleaned. I now get a 1.9 reading again.

I think the problem with the Kanger Sub Tank and Mini Sub Tank, not with the Aspire, is that the Kanger Sub Tanks leak eventually from all but the most delicate use because eventually the base leaks, the base that the atomizer screws into, not the o-ring between the pyrex and the base where most Sub Tank users probably get leaks from. If you don't screw the base in tight enough, it leaks out the base of the tank slightly with slight bit of splatter from too much wicking maybe because the air is leaking into the tank. If you do screw the base in tight enough for it not to leak, eventually the base itself will begin to cleave right above the adjustable airflow dial. I had one Sub Tank and one mini and I experienced this same issue with each after several weeks of daily use. I'm not a thread stripper and I usually don't experience issues like this and have not with any of the Aerotanks or other Kanger products I've used.

I have an Arctic Sub Tank now and it is very good. Way better than the Aspire Nautilus and way better than the Kanger Sub Tanks too. Zero splatter, which I love. Juicy hits but no splatter. Zero wick burn so far, after a week's worth of use. I'm using twice as much juice as I was but I'm enjoying it much more.

I'd like to get a Herakles Sub Tank and compare but nothing Kanger or Aspire has can touch the Arctic. The Herakles from what I've read is as good or maybe better than the Arctic in terms of how well it wicks.
