I've been poring through all of the suggestions and looking at the supplier sites and ads. It's all so confusing! Obviously, I have a working PV and some supplies so it's not critical but I need to make a good choice and not waste money!

What do y'all think of the Titan 510? I'm specifically looking at a nifty little kit with two batts, two atomizers, and 10 cartridges from Totally Wicked. At this stage, I'm doing better with the cartridges/atomizers rather than the cartomizers, probably because I favor a heavier concentrations of VG liquid.

And, being a girly-girl, lol, I'll admit that I really like the coppery-gold color and styling of this particular pv and kit.:p But I'm wondering how it fits between the fingers and compares to an analog? I'm still heavy-duty hand and ritual fixated!

Any advice on this pv and the company most appreciated!

The Titan is basically a basic 510, so it's a decent cigarette-like device. Don't get the tank, heavier VG liquids won't wick well in them at all. (As far as that goes I find they don't wick anything but almost pure PG with anything resembling decency.) To be honest I've found that thicker liquids don't really wick well in regular 510 carts, either; most of the liquid gets trapped below the surface of the filler. However, dripping works just fine with 510 atomizers and a drip tip no matter how thick your liquid.

If you're going to be doing thicker liquids and want something in a cartomizer or tank style, I'd recommend some cartos that can handle thick liquids. I'm told the Fluxomizer Deluxe from GotVapes works well even with pure VG liquids, as does their Turbine 2. My Fluxomizers haven't arrived yet so I can't confirm that for sure, but I've got some really thick almost pure VG liquid ("velvet blend" which looks like it's probably 80VG/20PG or higher) from Velvet Vapors waiting to give them the test when they do.

Realistically though, for thick VG juices, the only reliable option other than dripping is a bottom-feed drip mod like the REO line. They'll handle any concentration of VG you throw at them because they feed juice directly into the atomizer with a squeeze of the bottle. But they're box mods, so if form factor is of concern to you, these are definitely not going to look anything like a cigarette. A whole pack of cigarettes, maybe.

Alternatively if you want to make thicker VG liquids work better in 510 carts, you can thin the juice a bit using something like pure grain alcohol (Everclear or the like) or vodka, or if you don't want the warm alcohol hit, distilled water. It'll dilute the flavour and TH a bit but it will help with wicking issues in cartridge or cartomizer-based PVs.

TW are currently doing 35% off Titan and Tornado kits right now though and so are not so expensive. As a starting out kit, the Titans great. I prefer the extra battery time and a 3rd battery afforded by the mega Titan, but that's just me. I'd suggest, fir the current price and performance increase you look at their tornado kits also. Tornados are eGo kits rebranded, titans are the Joyee 510 rebranded. The eGo has a better battery life looks pretty cool too. Titans are slim and pen like (hence the name pen style which some call them) but can pass off as 'like a cig' a little better than the eGo perhapes.

Both devices are 510 threaded and support a huge wealth of options, tanks, cartomizers, clearomizers, cartridges, giantomizers and dripping etc. As a start out kit or an upgrade from a super mini, I think either are superb, with the tornado having a slight edge perhapes. I own both however and loved my mega Titan for months.

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the input! Since the sale prices are quite good, I might consider ordering a couple of different kits, especially if you can mix and match with the 510!

Seems like the Totally Wicked liquids are awfully expensive, though, so I'll look elsewhere for that!

TW liquid can be expensive compared to other vendors agreed, though I will say, check out their 'weekly discounted' section a new area on their site and has possibly what you need right now (Titan kits and liquid or tornado kits and liquid) or if you just need juice (to go with a titan or tornado kit) then they have that too:10ml T.W. Titan Fluid - Buy 6 Get 4 Free

6 bottles with 4 free is a decent offer anyway you look at it. For $47 ish that's very good indeed I think. Titan fluid is also very vapeable btw, I really like their RY4 and RY3 Titan fluids. Watermelon, strawberry and apple are also nice Titan fluids. I'd stay away from their coffee flavours though, I really didn't like them. Titan fluid tobacco flavours are also pretty decent. But over all I'd say go with the RY4/3 options and get some fruity flavours too. they are very clean chinese mixes, mostly PG with a little Vg for extra vapour i think. But at the end of the day go with whatever takes your fancy! My tastes will likely differ to yours!:vapor:

you can pick up a pack at Petco. what you want is a product in the fish tank department called marineland foam rite size U. it will end up being three sleeves of material that will last you and your friends a life time. Cut it into small pieces that shape like a v. Basically make them the size of the filler that already comes in the cartridges. if you do an ecf search for "blue foam mod" you can get more help with that, or try u-tub for how to cut it

Thanks so much, mindfield! So these Fluxomizer Deluxe fit the Titan 510? Let us know how they work when you get 'em!

I'm doing well with the VG liquid --the PG caused a bad sore throat that turned me from vaping. Using a good VG mix is a priority, as is having a simple and small device.

Yes, the Fluxomizers have a 510 connection (they're also available in 808) and the reviews have been excellent so far -- even among CE2 haters, so I've got some high hopes for them. The one thing I'm looking forward to with them is the ease of cleaning and ability to change liquids relatively quickly.

Also, the above suggestion for blue foam is a good one with 510 carts. I would also suggest trying some Fluval. You get it in the same place as the blue foam. It's white, more porous, and compresses very well into 510 carts and may also work very well for thick VG liquids, possibly offering a little better wicking without so much of the liquid getting trapped at the bottom of the cart. I used them in my original eGo with the 510 carts and it was great. They don't do so well in eGo Mega carts though; too much liquid for either the Fluval or blue foam to keep from leaking, but they're perfect for the 510.
