Ben Afleck to play Batman in next Man of Steel movie
I just don't know, it could be another Phantoms, or every other Afleck movie.
Thoughts?

I like George Clooney, and look how that turned out. Again, it could be great, but this next movie is the setup for the entire DC continuity in film. If he sucks, we're stuck with him for numerous films. I'm scared. Imagine being a devout Christian and hearing Greg Kinnear was going to play Jesus. Great actor, no Jesus.

I like Batman to be dark, and Bale had that down to a tee. Sorry, but Affleck is just too nice.

I just found out about it today. Conflicted. I obviously LOVE Batman.
I'm actually a fan of Ben Affleck.
But as BATMAN?! Oh, I just don't know...

That's where I'm at. Nothing against Affleck persay. He could do great, I would have preferred a no name actor like they did with Superman though.

Everybody freaked out about Heath Ledger as the Joker too. Snyder is directing so it will probably be fine. Just scary to think about, and we've got to wait 2 years to find out.
