I got a 30 ml bottle of Copper Creek house blend staring at me. The site says steep for a week, hell even on the receipt they wrote it in pen lol. I'm anxious to try the "2011 juice of the year". Does that week really make that much of a difference in taste? If it does I'll wait.. should I count the two days it took to get to me? Haha..

So in general do all of you guys steep religiously or just dive right in?

Is it the difference between a minute steak and a rib eye?

Why don't you just shake the heck out of it and vape it? Most of the juices I really like don't need to steep - they're great right out of the mailbox. If you don't like it,then steep it! Sometimes some flavors get better. Usually not!

Why do we keep calling it steeping? Steeping is the process of extracting flavor from a solid in a liquid. (Think tea bag). Do you see any solids in that juice?!?

Go figure...

When I first got my CC house I went ahead & tried a little. I swear it tasted like lucky charms to me. Just dry lucky charms, no milk. I even had to buy a box (lucky charms) just to see if I was right about what I thought. Sure enough, I gobbled down & handful & was spot on. I thought after reading so many reviews, someone would have had to say that's the way it taste if it was supposed to. Let it steep for a good week on the fridge top & it was completely different. I think I got a really fresh batch. So, I vape a little more & let it steep for close to another week & I think it's pretty much leveled off.

Coquito is another one I have to steep. At first it has a powder cinnamon flavor that's unbearable. Just like trying to eat a spoon full of dry powdered cinnamon. After a week-week 1/2 it came to life & I couldn't put it down.

I recently read about steeping in hot water for a instant steep. Makes since to me. Logically it just seems like the flavors have to mix & bond or whatever they do. I gotta give it a shot.

You have a lot of patience to not even give it a taste right out of the mail box. I can't do it on new flavors.

Ain't that the truth? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against steeping (aging) a liquid but most of the time I can tell right away if it's a keeper or not. Even the really good ones can become even more complex over time, assuming it's a complex liquid to begin with. House Blend must be one of those. Wine sure gets better with aging. Whiskey sure does. But that may be because it still continues to ferment. E liquids don't ferment. I think I'll skip the hot water method. Nicotine does not like heat, light or air.

Ok I had to drip a couple drops.. I kind of got that lucky charms thing haha.. At least i got my curiosity over with. It's going to sit for a week to revisit soon :)

Good thing I have some already "steeped" vapor room stuff to mess around with.. Good times.

Thanks for the advice guys. I still can't get over how they wrote in pen on the paperwork to let it steep. Wanted to make sure I do it. Ha.

i dive right in. i wouldnt go through much of it in a week, maybe a few milliliters tops. that leaves ~27ml to steep. the last few mls of any of my juice is always steeped massively. BUT FWIW, i have never noticed a change in taste. with any juice. and ive tried many different vendors. maybe its vecause im continually vaping and there might be a gradual steep that i dont pick up on. who knows. i seem to enjoy my juices just as much the first day i got em all the way to the last.

im with ya.steeping is a totally different process. what we are doing has a name...its called aging.

Update - My lazy .... didn't drip every day lol. But anyways it's a week later and boy what a difference a week made. It's like a totally different juice all together. From now on I'm not even touching my juices till a week later after I get it. Set it and forget it!

By the way cooper creek houseblend is awesome!!!
