I recently bought some juice, and am fairly new. I have read that one should steep new juice for a week or two. But I am blind as i can't find anything that definately tells me what is steeping, completely any way. i know it means something like not touching it during that week or so, but I don't know if the bottle needs to be open, or what have you.

Also, does it matter what size of the bottles? I bought several 5 mL bottles to try different flavors, but don't know if the steeping time is somewhat dependant on the amount to be steeped.

one of the most suggested ways to steep is to leave the bottles open for at least 24 hours, then close it up and put it in a cool dark place like a closet for a week or two. every few days open the bottles up for a few minutes to let some fresh air in, close them and continue to steep in a cool dark place.
Keep in mind that this is just one method.

If you buy juices that are hand mixed and fresh you may want to let them steep. If you're buying Dekang or other mass produced juice it's not going to help much. To steep some people just take the cap off and let it sit for a while, like a couple of days or so. Others just set the juice aside for a week after they get it. The idea is to let the flavors blend together. Kind of like when you cook soup and it tastes better the next day. It does some good with some juices, but not others in my opinion. When I got freshly made juice from a local vendor I tried them when I got home. I put a few flavors aside because they didn't taste good, but 2 weeks later the flavor was better.
