i have been doing a lot of background reading and from it i gather that if you do not not include at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity to your daily schedule, this whole ecig thing is just a waste of time because your body can not dispose of your body's waste products, your body needs at least a minimal level of physical activity to function as the biological being that you are. excessive physical inactivity is in itself destructive.

to test if my body was still normal i took a tablespoon full of MCT (medium chain triglyceride) and most of my aches and pains disappeared and my energy level at least doubled indicating that my normal state was as if i had just come from a hard day's work and my body was exhausted (MCT is an easy to burn fat that can bypass an exhausted insulin/glucose system) (it is used by body builders to extend their workouts beyond their normal capabilities). this indicated to me that my normal state was in fact a state of exhaustion.

unfortunately MCT is burned off by your body very rapidly and so is not a long term solution to my pains and very low energy level. but it is fun to temporarily be almost a pain free, energetic superman by comparison. i used to use alternate therapy before the VA made me quit it in favor of all their medical tests and dangerous drugs that turned me into a zombie blob. any stuff that i still have is about 10 years old, and i only had MCT, Ginkgo Biloba, and MSM to experiment with, i just ordered about $200 worth of "alternate" stuff because i was amazed how well this experiment worked (off pursuing yet another dream to get back to my "bad health" of 10 years ago), "bad health" is better than no health at all. :)

August 07 smoked 01 cigs, 39 less than my usual 40 cigs a day 3355 cigarettes not smoked in 96 days by using Stonewall, Joye 510, Hello 016, Ken's BoxMod, MadVapes 2xAA Box mod, WetBox Vaporizer (ecig) and 19 bottles of ejuice partially used , $0.28 per cig X 3355 Cigs = $939.40 diverted from cigarettes to Vaporizer (ecig). OMG I have spent over $2025.59 in 92 days on this stuff but bare in mind that my old cigarette cost was $330 a month, using snus + PV + Stonewall right now

My CigRx arrived a couple of weeks ago. There was a very slow response to my payment. Alas, for me, this is not an answer to any question I was asking, much less the Holy Grail. I have now consumed almost the entire contents of the clever dispenser the little pills come in. They are mint-flavored and have about the same biological impact as a breath mint. I'm kissable but not contented!

After using the first few, I began combining them with Java Stonewall. Two dissolving tablets at the same time. I honestly could not tell they made any contribution beyond that from the 4mg Stonewall.

I also tested CigRx while using a variety of e-cigs. They seemed to add nothing. In fact, they weren't even a decent placebo, since time spent with a CigRx in the mouth is time not spent with an effective snus portion or Stonewall.

I had high hopes for these, which I expressed to many of my friends. And I'm bitterly disappointed. Personally, I'm back to what works for me: rotating my e-cigs with 24 to 36mg e-liquids, using about six snus a day, using Stonewall first thing in the morning and after every meal or snack, a pipe twice a day and nasal snuff when the moods strikes.

Nice to hear from you, TB. I'm sorry you're disappointed, though. I'm thoroughly enjoying my CigRX. Yeah, it's a breath mint, but a breath mint with a kick.

Funny how we're all different. I still find snus to be the best alternative to smoking, but that little breath mint combined with vaping is really nice. It works better for me than the dissolvables. My problem with dissolvables is that Ariva is too weak, while Stonewall is too aggressive--it almost makes me dizzy. I went out tonight with my friends and was away from my PV and snus for 5 hours; all I had was a container of CigRX and I was perfectly fine. No anxiety, no cravings, nothing.

Katya,

How many of the CigRx tablets are you taking at a time, and how frequently are you taking them?

You've mentioned using CigRx both in combination with vaping, and stand-alone, so please answer the aforementioned questions as they apply to each of the following scenarios:

1. During times you are intermittently or regularly vaping
2. When you are using nothing but CigRx (i.e., no vaping or snus)

Thanks for sharing!

Tescela, sorry for the long delay in replying to your question. I really don't pay much attention to how often I take the CigRX. I have my survival kit with me at all times. The kit consists of a few snus portions, a blister pack of Ariva/Stonewall (the latter cut in half) and my PV. My best estimate is that one CigRX pill works for at least 2 hours alone, 3-4 hours or more with vaping. I don't know why or how it works, honestly. I just know that it does scratch my itch.

I may add that I've never been a very heavy smoker, ~1 PAD of ultra lights, I never smoked at home or in my car, and I'm used to going without for extended periods of time. However, I would get very antsy if I couldn't smoke for more than 2-3 hours.

I experimented with using just CigRX and vaping recently, no snus and no dissolvables, and I did fine. The mornings and evenings, right after dinner, are still the most difficult. Sometimes I just have to have a cig, but I'm down to 2-5 cigarettes a day (worst case) or none (best case, rare).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, Katya. Based on the four-category system of classifying smokers outlined in another thread earlier this year, this suggests that perhaps CigRx is most effective for individuals that fall into the low nicotine dependence, high MAOI dependence category. Would you agree the assessment that you fall into that category?

Absolutely.

Now, don't get me wrong. I like my nic. But I can't survive on nic alone. I tried quitting before with NRT products and it was a total failure. I did manage to quit with Wellbutrin, though, for 4 months, so clearly what I needed was some kind of an anti-depressant. That didn't last, unfortunately. I gained weight and slowly turned into a raving lunatic. I started smoking and my sanity returned.

Right now, the combo of low-nic vaping, snus, dissolvables and, most recently, CigRX, lets me "keep the lid on," as my dear friend Twisted Victor is fond of saying. The good folks from the Smokeless subforum saved my life. The fact that I can go 3 or 4 days without smoking is proof that I'm cured of my cigarette addiction. I'm still buying cigs, but by packs, not cartons, as I used to. I think that I smoke because I can't believe, deep in my heart, that I may have actually quit... Funny, I know.
