All over the place
So, I am trying Halo Freedom right now...I don't know if you would think it taste like a cig. I am getting a front note of semi-sweetness followed by a pretty robust, yet smooth tobacco-y finish. The vapor even smells like smoke. However, I think there may be some of that pipe tobacco/ cigar essence going on. Earlier I hadn't thought so, but, vaping it with a critical palate, and not just free-style, I think this may not be what you are looking for. I certainly wouldn't want you to get your hopes up. However, some think it does taste like a cigarette. I did a little research and lasttango said this in a thread on 2.13.2011,

"I love Bella...

Freedom is more like a cigarette for me than a cigar - it was literally my comfort vape for those "toughest" of times when I needed a real smoke...

Other Vapes that give you that cigarette experience: Vapor Station's Tampa, Phoenix... nHaler's Octane line tobaccos, Vapor flow's Flobacco, BWB's Adirondack Blend - there are more... Vapestein did a blog on this... he mentioned some places like want2vape and vapetherockies"

So, it is one of those things that only you will really be able to discern for yourself.

p.s. I am getting more cigar sweetness lingering on my tongue now. But boy o' boy does the vapor smell like smoke! This is a tricky one!

This is essentially what I just sent to you.

I do have a bottle of Twilight from Nite Lite, as well as a bottle of NLV Gold. The NLV gold at first i thought was phenominal, then it got to sweet for me, and thats actually what im back to vaping the last day or so. Its just a little too sweet for me, but its not bad. Twilight was good, i burned through a half bottle of that in a very short period of time, but it cant be an all day vape for me, some juices change so much day to day, i dunno.

I smoke analogs from time to time, 2-4 a day on those harder days, but i dont take it ultra serious, the more relaxed i am about "meh, i can have one here and there if i want", seems like the less i smoke. So i'll go 3-4 weeks without a puff, then have a couple cigarettes for a couple days, then not again for a few weeks, hopefully slowly breaking that cycle. Maybe thats part of my problem, messing with my taste buds lol.

I suppose after the freedomsmoke order comes, im just gonna start at the top of this thread and start ordering recommended juices! hah

I share you're thinking on the 'once in awhile cig' being nothing to get concerned about. A lot of folks get completely freaked out if they take even one single drag off a cig, let alone having a whole one, and thinking it's the end of the world. My thinking: big deal, so what... as long as you don't go back to even close to a pack a day!

I'd also like to say that there's always gonna be a difference in the experience of inhaling vapor vs smoke. Vapor has that metallic-y, mineral-y essence to it, especially with the stronger tasting juices, and generally a much more pungent 'in your face' flavor... not to mention sometimes having that undertone like breathing in the direct exhaust from a clothes dryer, especially with the less flavorful or unflavored juices. It is water vapor, after all. This, to me, makes vaping much less satisfying after a meal than smoking. That's usually when I crave a smoke more than any other time. Smoke has that subtle earthy flavor that is less an assault on the palette, and has that dry, 'fuzzy?' aspect to it when you take a drag, for want of a better word. I'll be amazed if they're ever able to capture that essence of smoking. So it's quite possible you may never find the perfect cigarette-like vape. Good luck.

Never thought I'd find myself on this thread after nearly 3 years. Here's why I'm suddenly here. I rather quickly gave up trying to find a "tobacco" juice when I started vaping. None of them came close, for me. Like everybody, I shopped around for flavors, found one I really loved -- Cafe Machiatto from Tasty Vapors, which I order in 48mg strength (90% PG / 10% VG) and cut with their Doublers (same flavor juice, no nic) to 24mg or 16mg. Been vaping it daily for two years and still love it.

I've just moved up to tanks and to a kGo 1100 mAh. AND to the amazing (for me, anyway) E-TURBO LR carto from Mountain Vapor.

Simply the closest-to-perfect system I've found, for me. NO absorbent filler material, just pure liquid, with tiny wicks, a top-coil atomizer, easy to fill right from the bottle, solidly-built, last for many refills (up to 100, apparently, from everything I've read), etc. Incredible amounts of vapor and crystal-clear taste.

Mountain Vapor happened to include a free sample bottle of their Bacconut with the E-TURBOS. I sniffed it then put it aside because I thought, "It's another 'tobacco' flavor and my past experience has been underwhelming.

My curiosity got the best of me after a few hours of vaping Cafe Machiatto on my new rig. Thought I'd try the Bacconut sample. Loaded an E-TURBO LR with it and . . . .

Three words. A. Ma. Zing.

Vapor production to beat the band. And the taste knocked my socks off! I couldn't believe it, after all this time, from a "tobacco" flavor. Which I'd given up on and would never have tried had they not sent the sample.

I'm about to order a 30ml bottle of it, but thought I'd check here first, now that I've found a "tobacco" flavor I love right out of the bottle. My thinking, idiotically perhaps, was that I might find another "tobacco" flavor on this forum that a consensus of people really liked.

But I've already got one in my hands that I really like, so, uh . . .

That's why I'm here, and will continue to look around here. But thought I'd share my experience with Bacconut. I'm sort of stunned by it, really, since I never expected to like a "tobacco" flavor.

Maybe they've come a long way in 2.5 years since I've been vaping, and there are other terrific tobacco flavors available.

But this one, for me, hits the spot on every level.

Holy .... my freedom smoke order just showed up in the mail. I ordered it Thursday afternoon, have it saturday at noon, from AZ to MN... thats quick.

I already dripped two juices, Purecig - puke... tastes like the BWB tobacco flavors.. Im sure thats awesome for some, but to me they both have a really strange flavor, like a day old puke taste.. lol that sound horrible, but it just reminds me of having dried vomit in my nose from a rough night.

Hypnotic Mist - WIN. So sublte, and has a cottoncandy aftertaste, which i would never in a million years think i would like. Not a fan of blueberry, watermelon, etc.. those sweet flavors did nothing for me... but this is so solid and subtle its strange, but it works rediculously well.

On to the rest

Thank God someone said Vapor Station - I was reading through this whole thread baffled why nobody mentioned them in response to the original post! They are also one of the only juices that I like out of Dr. V's recommendations, so that just goes to show that they work for people even with different tastes.

I would suggest, however, given the original poster's description of something very cigarette-like, that Tampa and Texas are closer to the mark than Tennesse, which is more mellow and sweet in comparison. (Though I personally love Tennessee quite a bit, it just doesn't remind me of an analog the way Tampa and Texas do.)

Yep you are probably right. I like the slightly sweet, smooth and slight vanilla taste. Also don't know if you have noticed but my atomizers seem to last longer with their juice.

As a matter of fact, I can honestly say that my atomizers last longer with Vapor Station's than many others. They are very clear and clean. Always very satisfying, too, great performance on these juices overall...

Try NLV's new Twilite juice: http://nitelitevapor.net

It's non-sweet, and I think delicious. NLV's juices are all 65/35pg/vg, and a 30ml bottle only costs $10!!

You might also enjoy their Litehouse Tobacco. HTH

This right here!!!!! Listen to this girl!!!!!

The Litehouse is new and all the new converts I know that are fresh off of analogs are loving it. It's very crisp, very sharp, it's pure tobacco flavor. Doesn't taste like fake crap, it's for sure the most real tasting Tobacco flavor I've tried. With NLV, it's cheap as dirt, American made with good quality ingredients, and you usually get a bonus gift or a free upsize if you spend a little. TRY THEM, you won't be sorry. I had given up on finding a good liquid I liked and went back to Analogs until I found NLV's juice. Now I have several favorites and they are all from NLV.

I went through a similar (expensive) period trying to find a good tobacco flavor that I liked. Unfortunately, there just isn't any way of predicting how YOU will like the flavor until you try it. It will happen though.

My non-sweet, cigarette replacement flavor wound up being Prime Vaping's Natural Tobacco. It is an extracted tobacco flavor that satisfied my taste. I've since branched out in my likes/dislikes but this one is still a favorite:

I also find their Natural Virginia to be very enjoyable. Good Luck with your search!

Kazz: This one looks like one that I've got to try - thanks for posting this!
