Does anybody know what will remove tobacco stains from walls and doors. I don't know of anything other than painting. Hopefully someone has a good solution.I don't want to repaint everything.
I used Scrubbing Bubbles. Spray on, let sit for a bit and wipe down.
What runs down the walls will freak you out! I had to clean the white walls in my last house before we put it on the market (I smoked in my bedroom where the computer was). Ugh!! I didn't have to paint after I cleaned the walls!! This stuff works on everything.
I didn't smoke in my new home because of it and I'm really glad about it now that I don't smoke!!
We used .... and span and cold water. We started at the top and worked our way down. It was hard work! We found out our walls were painted with a water soluble paint!!!!!
I've been using Mean Green. It melts it off and (so far) I haven't noticed damage from it. I'd rather paint over it, but I read somewhere that it'll bleed through. Painting is next if I ever get all the ceilings washed.
Nicotine will bleed thru if paint with out getting off first, I use to do cleaning in goverment housing on Post, and what a mess. on semi gloss you can use a dulited down bleach and water and that will clean it. I like the scrubbing bubbles also. Pin sol or lysol diluted down work great too, anything that will clean up a greesy mess.

Simple Green diluted a little and one of the Mr Clean Magic Erasers. The combination of the 2 works great and is not hard. Spra on the simple green and let it sit for a little dont need to be long though
I have not allowed smoking in the house for years, I used to paint apartments in college and wow! you can easily tell who did and did not smoke. If its bad enough you need to paint over it get some kiltz in a spray can.. give it a light coat before painting, it will seal it so it doesnt leak through. Works great for alot of things other than nicotene also.
