I agree with above post. Synthetic tobacco flavors use flavoring agents originally meant for food products. Being that there are no foods that taste like buning tobacco and smoke, there are no synthetic tobacco flavors that will taste anywhere near like a cigarette.
I generally suggest that new vapors not waste their time trying to find an e-liquid that tastes like their old cigarettes. It's a lost cause. Try to find a fruit, coffee, or desert flavor that you won't mind vaping instead. Besides, once your taste buds heal (smoking destroys your taste buds, but they will heal) you'll find that what you were looking for (cigarette flavor) wasn't really that good in the first place. Ash tray taste anyone?

Bleh!!
Finding the "right flavor" for yourself is probably MORE important than what gear you use. If you don't like the flavor, you won't vape it.
I also suggest finding more than just one flavor. Changing up flavors lessens the chance to develop flavor saturation of the tongue, or vaper's tongue which is when you lose your ability to taste flavors.
