I recently bought a kayfun mini and I can't get this to work properly. I'm making sure the wick isn't blocking the canal so I know it's not that. I keep the air hole covered when filling from the top as I've heard it's much better to do it from there. Once the hole I covered I screw on the top piece slightly but the air bubbles do not flow up to the top. As I unscrew it a littl bit more then the liquid start to flow out so I'm unscrewing it too much at that point. There has to be a better way to use it. Please help as from what I've been reading once you get it this tank is fantastic.

make sure your chimney and chimney barrel are both screwed in firmly. i had an issue like that where it wouldnt feed on my ivogo kfun mini clone. you may have another issue entirely, but perhaps your problem was the same as mine. what had happened was due to the repeated screwing and un-screwing of the top cap, my chimney became loose. not visually lose, but just enough to create a gap between the chimney and chimney barrel, choking juice flow.

try posting some pics of your unit and build if you can. it could help us to help you.

Are you turning it upside down and waiting for the large air bubble to reach the base BEFORE you screw the top cap on all the way?

Yes I do, but I find that I have to practically unscrew it completely to get the bubble. Then after the bubble shows I screw it closed and the bubble goes up towards the hole where the Channel is. I few bubbles will still stay in the tank and will leak from time to time after that. I'll post some pics of it later on.

My next step is to try the stainless steel peice instead of the plastic. They seem to be pretty close in size so I'm not sure if that will fix it.

I don't even use my Tobeco clone (the plastic tank does not work).
I have two Ivogo clones that work well, but I only use the metal tank sections.
After I fill one, from the top with finger on air hole, lightly screw the cap on just to seat the Oring... Flip upside down, tighten cap... count to 15.
If you try to hit it it will gurgle an juice will dribble fro the air hole. flip it up side down, cover the hole with tissue and blow the crap out of it several times until it stops shooting juice.
Take one or two long drags to make sure the wick isn't still over saturated and you should be good until next refill.
You may have to repeat the clearing process more than once.
They do work though...really... I keep one in a front pocket at work for 6 hours a day, and have never had one leak.
