Hey whats up guys i ordered a tobh atty and i would like to make a single coil but the problem is that there is air holes on opposite sides of the atty. if i make a single coil build and close the holes with one on each side do you think i would get a decent vape? im not looking for major clouds, mostly just nice vapor.....or is there some way i can block the opposite air holes off? with some kind of tape or something? thank you also this will be my first rda and i am using the steam engine coil calculator and i also ordered an ohm reader if i build a single coil with the same ohms as i would with a dual would one take more power than the other with my battery? i am using the aspire cf sub ohm battery(not the mod version) it is a regulated battery. thanks in advance!:vapor:

Generally you will get better flavor (and vapor) when you are able to direct all air coming through the atty over the coil(s). For a single coil the Tobh is not the best choice but if that's what you've got to work with I suppose you could somehow block the holes. on the opposite sire. Not sure that I would use tape though. Maybe break off toothpicks in the holes? ;)

Experiment. More holes is fine. Don't use anything to block anything. Try turning the top cap and see what happens to the holes then position your coil in the spot you want it. Aren't the deck walls different heights to cease different air flows? Cross ventilation will give you the best vape anyway...i like a little more air...i cross ventilate my singles on my mephisto...all good...

I love my TOBH's....have two, one purchased at B&M (tobeco clone) and liked it so much I bought another one.
Second one was purchased online, no logo Ehpro clone....much beeffier in my opinion :2c:
I only use single coils, build close to edge of deck between the dreaded TOOTH and neg post and usually place top cap so I only have 1 or 2 air holes open.

Right now as I am typing this I have a twisted 28 gage .9 ohm single coil and vaping a diy creamy cool menthol at 21 watts on a dna 30watt, only have 2 of the three air holes open and it is very nice vape

is it still better flavor than a clearo?

Oh yeah, more flavor, more vapor and more warmth.......sine purchase of first rba I have slowly added additional rba's and can no longer enjoy any other type of vape.........between myself and my husband we have 2 nautilus and 2 nautilus mini's and 3+ boxes of coils just sitting in a drawer......as a matter of fact....last night I "put up" my old z-max mini and this morning my husband handed me his also to be banished to the "we don't use anymore drawer".

He is winding down on vaping and I am at it all day.....He has a dna 30 watt and a magma, tobh and stilaire.......and I have a dna 30 watt and an Istick 50 and 2 Istick 20 watts and use a magma, tobh, atomic and just purchased a freakshow (hate it...leaky).....

I build coils in the 1 ohm range, as close as I can get anyway, play with twisted coils ( its fun, flavorful...but they get gunky quickly) and stay within the 16.5 - 22.5 watt range and am happy there so far.....
