Tobh copper center pin too short. Fixes?

I have to crank my Tobh V2 on to my Cloupor dna 30 or it says check atomizer. The pin is basically flush, and if I try to screw it out, the center post is loose.
Is there a way to reliably extend the pin 1 mm out without loosening the center post?

Sometimes certain attys don't connect to certain mods. I'm now trying to only buy mods with an adjustable 510.

Seems like the insulator is melted. Causing the pin to sit flush. You can take it apart and re-assemble it. Luckily I had a spare and replaced all the insulators on mines.

Insulator is fine. I've only fired it a few times. It'sa actually been like this since new.
where would I get spare insulators? Or a longer center pin?
I suppose a delrin shim or copper shim would work but don' tknow where to source them.

You can make a shim out of a very small loop of wire, be it Kanthal or what have you just be sure nothing is sticking out to touch the sides of the 510 connection. For safety sake If you want to use something non conductive you can use a bit of an old credit card or DVD case, drill or cut a hole in it then trim the excess as needed. I've done it a whole number of ways, including wrapping dental floss around the base of the screw and just mashing it down super tight.

Thanks Froth. That's exactly the DIY suggestion I was looking for!

I'll be doing it under the flat head side of the screw between screw and bottom insulator. Heat shouldn't be an issue there.

You can shim it for sure. I cant remember the exact size screw the tobh uses but i have used this type of screw in some of my attys that i use on my hybrid mods. They come in different sizes this one is an m3 and i shave them to fit

Those are motherboard standoffs, usually made in 6-32 thread pitch.
