I have come up on a TOBH v3 rda clone and I have a provari v2.5 so I cant sub ohm.

What type of wire should I use to build a dual microcoil that will be over 1.0 ohms. I've heard that a single coild build may work also. I have plenty of 28mm and if poissble id prefer a build using that, but if not what size should I get, number of wraps, best wick for me to use?

Any help is greatly appreciated

If I wanted to do a double coil and do 7 wraps each that would make it little over 1ohm is that right? I just can't sub ohm with my provari

No identical coils in parallel cut the resistance in half. So two coils like that would be closer to the .5-.7 ohm range. The best explanation is to think of electricity and coils the same way you would water from a faucet. Two hoses on a single faucet will cut the water in half to each hose i.e. you will need to open the faucet twice as much to get the same flow out of both hoses. So, when running two coils you need to supply more power (wattage which requires more amps or voltage) to get them to heat up right. This is assuming they are in parallel.

Please get a multimeter or ohm checker to be safe.

I hope you have a multimeter or an ohms meter, as counting wraps is unreliable.

Here are a couple of sites that might help you, but you should still measure:

Vapers Toolbox is a free app, and will tell you how long to cut your kanthal, etc. The length of the kanthal determines the resistance. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valsoft.vaperstoolbox&hl=en

Coil Toy does what Vapers Toolbox does, and also shows you a picture of your coils Coil Toy - Online calculator for e-cigarette resistance coil building

Yes I do have one, I just got it in this rebuildable atomizer kit I ordered from longhornvapor. I was just trying to get a general idea of what to build, thanks.

Its a decent kit comes with an ohms reader and 3 different size wrappings tools, I would definetly reccomend it to anyone that wants to try rebuilding but doesn't have any tools

Someday I will get into building, sounds like fun, and cheaper than buying coils.

I was a little hesitant deciding to build my own. However, after about the 10th Nautilus dud, it became easier to make the switch. Once I did, I was very pleased with the results.

Manufactured coils are just fine for some people and they helped get me off the analogs but I wanted more. With rebuilding, I got it. A marked improvement for me. YMMV
