After over a month of having no desire to smoke, today I feel like I could go and buy a pack! I'm in a lot of pain after having a largish lump removed from my chest yesterday. It really feels like a horse has kicked me in my chest :( I guess I have learnt today that pain and stress is still a big trigger for me to smoke. I am vaping my high str malborough cartridges I will not give in. I just felt the need to share my duress with you to help me stay strong. Thanks for listening lol

Hey.. You're doing great. Stress makes us all want to smoke but, like mooreted said, it'll taste terrible to you now anyway. Glad that you are ok health wise and on the mend. Just think about all of the new toys you will buy yourself to reward yourself for not having the ciggie. Wouldn't worry too much about it just try to feel better.

Our thoughts are with you today.

You guys are awesome! And you know what?? My dogs started barking so I went outside to see what the fuss was about and there on my porch was my parcel ordered from china 3 weeks ago!!! Like divine intervention I have 3 new flavours to try, and a cute pink EGO case for my daily bits and bobs that I can now keep together in style in my bag lol!!! Ahhh I will be ok <3 :)

Congrats on staying off of cigs when you were under pressure. Keep reminding yourself the reason why you quit and that cigs taste like poo poo and WILL slowly kill you. It'll be ok and once you get over the urge. You'll be glad that you didn't smoke. Your health is much more important then throwing your success away to have a quick dance with death again.

What saved me is the desire of a VV Mod. Having all that power to adjust to my moods really helps in my situation. I am not saying that would help you, but I thought I would share what helps me. Also, maybe having an extremely high nic blend for those days that you crave an analog could give you the extra boost you need. Anyhow, keep at it. Everyone around you appreciates your determination and the desire to not only improve your life but the lives of those around you.

You won't smoke...it would be a "let down" to yourself. You've made it this far. Hit that high nic and don't think about it. I went through a rough time with surgery and having to deal with work comp and stayed away from cigs. The stress and pain was enough to send me over the edge. Hold tight to your PV's and they'll help you through it. I hope you get to feeling better quickly.

Ok so nearly 4 hours have passed by since I made that first desperate post and I just want to say I'm ok! I opened my parcel from china and I have been reading the success stories again on ECF while tasting my new 18mg banana and cappacino flavours. I'm over the urge :)

PS: I may have reduced my nic levels a little too quickly as well so I think I will sit on 18mg for a bit longer to avoid another day like today.

My normal vape is 24mg. But to get off the cigs, the 24 wasn't enough. I got some 30mg and used it when I would have cravings. (Mostly, right after eating.) That did the job and I was able to quit easily.

Now I haven't smoked in a 5 weeks or so, and I rarely get those cravings, so I don't need the 30mg juice very often. But it's nice knowing that it's there, and that if I start really craving a cig, that I can use it to kill the cravings.

I think for most people, they should find the nic level that works for them, but that they should keep a bottle with a higher nic level around, just for those occasions.

So sorry you feel so bad Dyanne..Don't let pain win, I can so relate, unfortunatly. I am getting through it because I cant drive a car to the store and no one will buy me cigarettes and its too far to crawl (live on a farm in the boondocks). I won't even try to say that I quit of my own free will, I quit because I am trapped but I'm glad I have been trapped and can't go back, I feel better than I have felt in 35 years, except for dealing with two broken ankles and a messed up back. I didn't even realize how bad I felt untill I felt so much better...does that make any sense? Hang in there and reach for the people on here, they are the ones who keep me going day after day when I feel weak in this struggle.

Yay! Toys! My orders have pretty lame stuff - just my regular liquids and the occasional hardware replacements - but I still get excited when that mailer shows up in the post. At least you got a distraction to play with on a really bad day.

And do keep that in mind - you have permission to play. Regimented, traditional quit smoking progams don't allow for play. If you think you moved your nic level down too quickly - move it back up! And maybe just for a day or two. Or only for a bad afternoon. I have 16, 24 & 30 mg liquids on hand. And I still use 'em all for different times depending on what mood I'm in.

Feel better! You is getting friend request!

I quit smoking for several months (Thanks to vaping) then one night I started taking shots with some friends and the social smoking thing got me. I smoked for 8 months strait and just now quit again. I am on 4 days without a smoke now but keep having the crazy urge to have one. Well, what I do is grab my e cig and take a HUGE puff, so large it makes my cough. Shortly after that I am good again, so far.

Keep fighting the cancer sticks!
