Thanks for sharing the link to the BBC report. As a news reporting goes, I thought it was a refreshingly fair and informative piece that covered opposing views of the subject. It presented a hardline approach from British regulators as well as potential benefits from vaping. I had no idea that kids could purchase e-cigs in the UK. Not good.

Thanks for that link Bosman, I was watching the news(BBC) this morning and I must have missed that.
Yzer, kids cannot purchase e-cigs freely in the UK. But ecigs are sold in supermarkets, both ecigs and cartomizer packs are on the shelf and easy to see. In the UK we have a problem with Adults (18) buying products for those Under the age of 18, this includes tobacco, Alcohol and a variety of other products that are meant for Adult use. It's sad but it happens.

Thanks for the clarification about sales to minors in the UK. Yes, we have the same issues with adults purchasing alcohol for minors in the US. Once in a great while our local police department will use young-looking cops to conduct stings on stores or to nab adults who purchase for minors, but the problem persists. No one has advocated a prohibition on alcohol because of this issue, however.
