Hey folks,

So after much deliberation and perhaps wasted money, I've decided to start filling my own carts. The supplies should come tomorrow, and I could use all the help I can get to do this right. Some stats:

1.) I use the Smokeless Image Volt automatic battery system.
2.) I've ordered blank carts from SI, as well as replacement cart mouthpieces. I'd like to use a drip tip, but couldn't find any on their site. Any help here?
3.) I've ordered 3 sample bottles of different juices from the Red Oak line at Johnson Creek.

Ok so to preface this, I'm very nervous about actually working with the liquid myself. I think I've scared myself reading about how poisonous it is. So one important thing to note is that I want to fill these in as clean a way as possible, and intend to be very careful.

If anyone could give me a little step-by-step, I would be in your debt.

It's actually very easy. Just wash your hands once you are done should any eliquid get on them, it doesn't absorb through your skin that fast.

A useful tip that I came up with is to plug the center air hole up with a wooden toothpick. You don't have to put it in far, just enough to keep juice from getting in.

I'll provide a video that shows how to fill your cartos. I'll also provide a link to a vendor that has a large selection of drip tips. Any of the 510 drip tips will work for you.

Hi sk8man,
Firstly - drip tips. I've found I can use 510 drip tips with Volt cartomizers. They fit the same.

This video shows the cleanest way to refill cartomizers:

Drip in 18-20 drops. Let it stand for 30 minutes to allow the juice to soak through and down to the coil, which is at the bottom of the cartomizer.
You won't poison yourself if you get a little juice on your fingers - just wipe it off, and wash your hands when your done. If you accidentally spill some juice - just wash your hands.

That's it - easy peasy!

Wait so I can use a 510 drip tip on an 808 cartomizer? What's the best drip tip out there?

What qualifies as a best drip tip to you? It's all personal preference. Material can be plastic, ceramic, steel, aluminum, titanium, pyrex glass, and others. There are also many shapes that people have a preference to. How much are you willing to pay? There are Trippy Tips that cost as much as $60.

Among MY favorite drip tips are the Knuckle Heads. I like the "ming" shape, and I can bend it at the elbow toward me for comfort and ease. But I'm using a much heavier device than you are, so that is probably more important to me than you. Drip Tips : Black Delrin Knucklehead

I also like a variety of pyrex glass tips, but many of those are just too large to put on a cartomizer alone. Expensive, too. Drip Tips : Sagewood Glass, Fine Art, Flawless Function.

The Cherry Vape Dream Tips might be nice for you. Not too large. Comfortable shapes. Pretty. Not overly expensive. Cherry Vape Dream Tips
