I found this company by searching Alibaba by searching companies by the name which is on the atomizer (SLB). They did send me a huge catalog, asked good questions when I was vague about the product specs and didn't just throw an invoice at me like others did on Alibaba.
On the other hand they say that if customs a problem, the order will be returned to them and they can just reship at my expense. I find that hard to believe customs would return a seized package. The very low price of the e juice I am thinking should also be a red flag?
I know not to tell paypal this is an ecig order.
This is for personal use only for 2 heavy users which should last 8-12 months?
I know I like the products (if they are not knock offs and really DeKang Juice--and just want to cut down on costs by ordering this way), because I find the retail mark up the US unbelievably high. We were very long time smokers and just want the same flavor more or less which the basic Dekang seems to give us--and when I looked at continuing through my retail supplier, DIY or ordering from China--it seemed to me that the ingredients of everything trace back to China sooner or later--so how do I know what I am getting from anyone really? If I can really order from the manufacturer--why not? The problem is the cigarettes I was smoking off the internet were much cheaper ($10/carton) than than all this stuff retail from the supplier who has the stuff I know I like--but which I can't afford.
But am I really ordering from the manufacturer in this case or a middle man? And even it it is a middleman--is he reputable? Does anyone happen to know or can you suggest how to trace this? It also seems odd a manufacturer would supply e-juice as well?
I even know if this is legit that the e juice might not taste the same exactly as what
I have now, which is Degang 100% PB 18 mg marlboro like tobacco flavor--which I suspect my local supplier has probably fiddled with to improve it to suit these batteries and atomizers ( which I think are great!)
But even when I was smoking, when the price shot up I was happy to adjust to generic brands to save money which initially tasted horrible--so I am thinking this might be the same thing. Even if the juice is bad, it is so cheap as to not be much of a loss (like $0.15/ml)--most of the cost of the order is the hardware--which is also considerably cheaper--and how bad can they be?
I am sad to have to go around the supplier who introduced me to this--he did me a huge favor for my health I think--but even offering me his best 20% volume discount, an order like this comes to over $1800 (e juice $0.52/ml). And if I change any piece of what I am using, the battery, the atomizer, the juice to go to a cheaper US retailer--I might not like it anyway?
I'd be happy to pay tax on it, but not sure if that can be done--what do large US resellers who get their stuff from China wholesale do--declare everything and pay tax or --just run the customs risk?
So can anyone please tell me
1) Is this a reliable company
2) Does this price seem too high, too low, or just right
3) How high is the customs risk using UPS or DHL--the supplier says 1-2%--so do you think that is a reasonable estimate?
4) If I have trouble in US customs, do I lose the money or might I also face legal problems in the USA
Is this too good to be true...what am I missing?
Thanks much in advance for any guidance...
Ken
