Too Good to be True?

Is this for real? I switched over 1-11-11 to E-Cig/EGO vaping. I cannot believe this is so good. No cravings, no desires. Am I just fooling myself? Am I really in the clear after 20 years of analog inhaling?
Is there a catch somewhere? Just wondering...

Hi and welcome to ECF. 30+ years here, and yes it's too good to be true. You'll end up getting addicted to buying juice and vaping hardware. But seriously, it does seem too good to be true doesn't it?

If there's a catch it's this: You are probably going to spend the next year looking for the next new best e-cig, next new best e-juice, etc....

IMO, it's a worthwhile trade off

It does, that is what worries me. Was taught that anything that is too good to be true, ISN'T! And I have tried everything over the years and this was so easy and effortless! So am like, this can't be so!

Congrats to all the new non-smokers! You just traded one addiction for a new hobby. Why do I say hobby? Just wait and see. You'll get what I mean in time. New juices, hardware, mods, and whatever else the manufacturers can come up with. It's not an addiction, it's a hobby as I call it.

It does, that is what worries me. Was taught that anything that is too good to be true, ISN'T! And I have tried everything over the years and this was so easy and effortless! So am like, this can't be so!

Now you know why the FDA is so ticked off over ecigs. It's the easiest way to quit smoking that they can't control. However, I don't want to derail your thread. But now you know that something works and works great. Your body will still detox itself so bare through it and all will be great.

I know what you mean I haven't had a real smoke since Jan 20 but I still consider myself a smoker switching to vaping was just that easy. LOL

After 30+ years, it's been 3 months for me, no real cigs in that time! I still sometimes do want a 'real' cigarette, but I am so hooked on e-cigs now, I don't see my every going back.

I'm right with you on this, though I'm only on day #8. I've failed at quitting smoking more times than I can count (I'm 35). I had a couple of analogs my first day, two the second day, one the third, and right now I haven't had a single cigarette in the last 5 days. The crazy thing is that I don't want one - not even the slightest. I figured I'd at least be thinking about the occasional one, or the "if I have a really ....ty day, I'll just have a couple" situation, but it's almost surreal how well the eCig in general is working out for me.

Even though it took me longer than some.. to completely quit smoking -I've been vaping over a year now (yay!) - it took me about six months to find my "sweet spot" (my ideal PV and my "all day" vape) - Once I found that... I dropped the cigs like I'd never even been hooked! And I was up to 2 PAD and been smoking for way more years than I care to admit!!
So, no.. It's not a fad a gimic a lark a farce or even some figment of our imaginations. It's the real deal and OH SO wonderfully real!!

I was standing outside in freezing cold smoking a cig with co-workers. The topic of e-cigs was mentioned. I had not heard of them at all. In fact I thought it sounded like a scam of some sorts. No one knew much about them.
Now two months later I have stepped into this world of vaping. It was very easy to give up the cigs and just vape.
I just wonder why e-cigs are still a quiet secret to the general public.
I want to shout it from the roof top and let everyone know there is a way to stop smoking and start a new life as a vaper.

There is a catch. Your local, state and federal government can't stand the fact that you are not smoking. What's worse, it "looks" like you're smoking but you're not. You did not quit using the prescribed, government approved method. You are still using nicotine therefor loving life. You are not paying high taxes and must be punished.

They will hunt you down and make an example of you. That's the catch. Watch your back...

It is AMAZING to most (if not all) of us that giving up analogs has been really possible. But, it is. And I'm sure that we are all glad that we've vaping.

I try to get the word out to everyone that asks me about vaping when I'm out and about and I'm spied with my ego.
