Too hot to vape

Hi all,
I am using an Ego-C to which I recently purchased a Vision Spinner 2 battery. It works fine except that from time to time I get the following
problem (happened to me recently but also in the past) - the atomizer cone get burning hot only after a few puffs.
Then I hear the atomizer getting flooded and the e-liquid starts leaking all over the place, emptying the tank almost completely.
I looked up "atomizer flooding" and wiped everything (that is the battery, the atomizer base, and the atomizer itself).
So now it's working as it should at them moment but I am afraid it's going to happen again. Any suggestions as to what's
going on and how to prevent it?

Hi, are you sure that you didn't get alot of ejuice in the air tube when you were filling the tank,or perhaps over filled above the center tube (even afew drops are alot in there). This would cause the fluid when heated to thin and run out into the coil and out the hole in the fireing pin and into the battery. I think it would also be pretty hot when it started to vaporize. Theres alot to be considered here, is the tank plastic or glass? Have you been Vapeing citrus or cinnamon flavors that might have cracked a plastic tank? What voltage have you been vapeing at ? maybe too high for the coil, or have you checked the gaskets on the bottom of the tank? Just not enough info to give a good answer. But could be any one of these issues. Hope you get it figured out, ejuice makes a mess and makes it difficult to enjoy Vapeing as it should be.

FLOODING
First, to fix a flooded atomizer take your tank off the battery and blow through the mouthpiece (with a paper towel under it). This will drain the extra eliquid.

When you inhale, take a long smooth draw vs a short sharp draw. This will prevent extra eliquid from being pulled into your coils and flooding it. Inhalation technique with an e-cigarette

Whenever you first sense that your atomizer is beginning to flood try this:
1. Open up the airflow so when you take a hit you are not pulling in as much juice into your coils (if your tank has airflow control) .
2. Raise your voltage. This will vaporize more eliquid.
3. Tip your battery up (and take a few hits). By tipping it up you will prevent more eliquid from being fed into the coils.

Give one or all of these a try.

ego-C unfortunately has a rep for finicky behaviour like overheating and leaking.

One possible solution is to replace the hard plastic caps on the tans with silicone caps which a more elastic and ensure a better fit around the hole.
But even then it needs carefully dosed drags to prevent them from misbehaving.
I've put mine on the back shelf ...

Welcome to the growing pains of learning vape.

1. do not over tighten the atty to the batt, snug, not tight. Doing so can bend and damage coils, causing hot spots, shorts and dry hits.
2. Always allow sufficient saturation time, when installing a fresh coil head, wick or build. Failing to do so can damage wick, degrade vape and lead to flooding issues.
3. Burnt taste, nasty flavored vape, is a wicking issue. Either did not saturate wick through coil, running out of juice, running to much power for current wicking constraints. Turn it down till it vape good, or check you densities through the coil and through the wicking ports. Both or either can cause the same issues.

Most likely 1 & 2 should cover most your problems, provided everything is assembled and filled properly, should vape well for you.
