Hello,
Just wanted to vent.... Haha
It seems that every place I look for new juices seem to be this organic or gourmet overpriced high vg stuff.

It's kinda aggravating, as this whole sub ohm trend seems to be isolating options.

Not too long ago it seems that it would have been more difficult for pg sensitivity to find good juice.... Now it's the other way around.

Anyway... That's my 2 cents.
(BTW.... I'm in Canada so options are limited)

So anyone want to make good juice at 40% maximum vg?

Cheers!

I never found a suitable juice with vendor juices ... only found my ADVs after going DIY.
Been really tempted to get that going... There is a vendor here in Canada called customejuice that is a blend of vendor and diy... Basically they stock bunch of concentrated flavours and mix whatever you want to order...and first order juice is doubled no matter the quantity.... As I research for my next stock up (in next couple weeks) ... I'm leaning there more and more....cheers!

Thanks stevegmu.... But $22 per 30ml....sorry I just can't go there.. Cheers

If you do not want to go $22 for 30ml then you will be pretty much stuck with DIY.
$22 for 30 ml is cheap at most places in the states. You can find Dekang for about half of that some places, but it is pretty sucky.

What are you talking about? $22 cheap my .... I would say more along the lines of upper tier average. I can find higher PG juices all day long at $10 or $12 per 30ml.

Not cheap just average for stores. Online though is another issue. Post some for the person opening the thread. Maybe they ship to Canada?

IMO, from DIY mixing experience, I would not go this route ... coming up with good juice takes some trial and error.

most of your first ideas will not be what you like and be prepared to toss out a fair amount of juice.

I only add nicotine when I have the recipe dialled in.

Thanks WillyZee that is my concern as well.... But double first order and $10 CAD per 30 mls.... Plus I've been researching recipes and was going to try some of them... Pretty close to diy prices for a first go without purchase of all the concentrates and bases. Ultimately, I'm pretty sure I'll get there with absolute diy, also considering regulations are happening quickly it's a good way to stock pile.

I still understand the Trend of sub ohm.... But that doesn't mean that it has to be high vg... It seems all "gourmet" and "boutique" juices are everywhere, over priced and too high vg.

Not to say I don't like sub ohm... I run istick 50 and 30 with subtank mini, kayfun v4 (s-kit), orchid v4, squape R, aqua v2....all sub ohm just cause the heating qualities... But high vg bugs me, it's not that I'm allergic... Just feels scratchy in my lungs for lack or a better term.
If I had boutique juice company the first thing I'd want is configurability... Just saying.... Thanks for all the input!

Check out Heather's Heavenly Vapes. They are in the U.S., but the juices are great, everything is mixed to order so you can choose any PG/VG ratio you want in (mostly) 10% increments (80/20, 70/30, 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, 30/70, 20/80, or 100% VG), and prices are US$13 / 30 mL (currently 5% off at US$12.35 with HHV5 coupon code).

Their sampler packs (four 3 mL bottles for $10, a bit steep but that's the way things are when you buy small quantities) are all 70% PG / 30% VG too, so you can try some of their flavors without shelling out $13 for 30 mL and finding out you don't like it. Unfortunately, only about half of their flavors are available in samples, but you can at least get a "feel" for their style of juices, even if they don't have the exact flavor you want to try in the sample pack.

I agree completely, and this is just one reason I got into DIY -- I have to stay OVER 80% PG or I can't breathe -- 80% PG gives me a phlegmy throat, but even the vendors that allow you to customize your PG/VG only have divisions at the 80% or 90% mark -- when I tried 90% for about a week, it burnt my throat and sinuses badly, but 80% still gives me a phlegmy throat. To get the 83%-84% that I need, I have to make it myself.

You might check MyFreedomSmokes.com -- they have a high-VG line, but their "regular" PG mix is 85% PG.

If you do a bunch of reading about DIY, you can get to very little amount of wasted juice. I recommend starting with small amount of flavor and adjust to taste. Little bit is better than too much. You can always add flavor but it is a lot harder to take it out. I have been DIYing since the middle of September 2014 and have not wasted a single ml of juice. Take LOTS AND LOTS of notes if you DIY. Here are some good reads if you want to go that route. E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs and also here E-Cigarette Forum - Hoosier - Blogs PS I have always liked to make complex mixes with 5+ different flavors.
