3 Pointer! I think we have figured it out man! lol. Now I just have to get some mixer and maybe you can help me mix it up? I will need some help with this but no rush I have to make it out to walmart sometime. I don't know when I can make it out there.

To be honest, I think you should just order new juice, and try to swap or sell what you got.

Technically, we haven't ruled out flavoring allergy, really. Only way to tell is get one bottle of lower nic w/flavoring, and one bottle of unflavored ejuice. MBV should have both

couple of things to consider. When I was using V2 cig-a-likes with their mini-clearomizers, (same with carts) my draw was much more like a normal cigarette, actually not a draw, it was a drag. I used 18 mg, just fine.

When I switched to Ego style and a variable volt, the draw was much more. I could draw so much more. And I did. I quickly got to the point of chewing through so much more juice. I have since gone down to 12mg. Simply because I was hitting it so much more.

Stimulants work differently on different people, some people they can concentrate more, others are bouncing off the ceiling. I will probably getting a EGO to V2 converter and trying the mini clearomizers on my Ego battery, see if changes things for me, until then I have brought my juices down to 12 mg, and may go to 9

before you possibly destroy a bottle of juice by adding more base you should set it aside and order some lower nic juice maybe come back to it later, I usually vape a 12mg juice but sometimes it just isnt enough and i switch to a 18mg. on a good set up 24mg juice can be brutal also how often u vape. a cigarette has a beginning and an end but with a mod there is nothing to tell your brain that its over and you should feel satisfied so it isnt hard to intake more nic by vaping then u would with cigarettes

This clearly makes since to me, although I currently have no more money to spend right now on a new juice. So I will just see where this can go.. Don't really know what else to do, I am going to put a different juice in my tank from the same company with the same nicotine 18mg/ml and try, maybe it was a flavoring, although I am aobut 90% sure it is nicotine. We will see. Our bodies run differently every day so I mean it is really hard to judge, vaping is so much different that ciggerettes. I feel like I am turning into a chemist with all this stuff. lol

Hey James,

Just sharing my experience because some of the things you're describing reminds me of my experience. At about 3 weeks into no analogs I started to suffer some bouts of EXTREME fatigue (and yes my vision would get weird when this happened.. that tired blurriness) as well of moments of panic where my heart raced. I also had sort of a generalized depressed feeling. I immediately attributed it to nic overdose and thought about stepping down.. came here and talked it through. Seems I wasn't alone in these experiences, several had them. We eventually pinned this down to withdrawal from cigarettes. I needed to remember I was detoxing from all of the other chemicals I was addicted to aside from the nicotine. I did not step down my nic level and just powered through... based on the experience of others. I started vaping at 18mg as a 1.5 PAD smoker.

The good news is that I completely snapped out of it after about 2 weeks and suddenly realized I felt better than ever. I didn't experience those feelings again. I am just now on the verge of a complete nic stepdown to 12mg at 5 months. Actually I probably could have stepped down sooner but I bought waaaaaaay too much 18mg juice!!

Anyway, just something to think about. :)

EDIT: Let me clarify that I'm not saying you shouldn't try adjusting your nic... just that maybe other things could be at play too.

Caffeine makes me sleepy. Every time I drink coffee it's lights out. I'm drinking some right now which means it will be nap time soon. :D But I digress. Lowering the nic level is a good idea. Not everyone needs high nic to start. I didn't and I was smoking a pack of Newports a day. Come to think of it, neither does my husband. He prefers 12mg juice, says 18mg is too much. Also a pad smoker. Definitely keep the higher nic juice around. Sometimes you might want a stronger nic hit. My brother in law smoked about 3 packs a day and is vaping 12mg with some 18. He's only 3-4 weeks into quitting. Then again, he likes to tinker with his mods and rebuilds his tanks, so he sub ohms on mechanicals a lot, whatever that means lol (but it might account for him using a lower nic juice despite being such a heavy smoker). His wife smoked much less than him and she vapes 24mg! Also, if you can scrounge together even $8, you could get a 15ml from Mt Baker Vapor (price includes shipping) if you need less nic asap.

I experienced something similar to Robin.

When I suddenly stopped the analogs & went to full-time vaping, for the next 3 or 4 weeks I became very tired/lethargic.

During that time I was also doing some detox stuff, like taking milk thistle (herbal supplement) & doing the oil-pulling thing, to try to reverse some of damage from years of smoking.

Tiredness / lethargy is a common symptom of detoxing.

One or more things could be happening with you:

- Detox from the reduction in analogs
- Allergic reaction to flavorings
- Too much nicotine
- Something non-vaping related, like a cold/flu

The bill will be in the mail. Please pay promptly. :D

P.S. If it keeps you off the cigs, I would consider continuing to vape for now. You may have to try different juices & flavors. And it gets a lot better!

Thanks for your support, I didn't happen to think it might be from detoxing a little, although I do still smoke a ciggerette every now and then because I haven't got a good juice fix going yet to where i don't need the ciggerettes. Plus I haven't totally gotten use to smoking the ecig by itself. Although I have been struggling this whole month to make this work, I have had a whole bucket full of problems but I am certainly trying hard to figure this out.

I have another question for you guys and instead of starting another thread I will just throw it in here: Ok so I can tell my lungs are defintely going thru some type of change from smoking so much vaper, I can breathe better even though I havent totally quick smoking, just slowed down quite a bit on the smokes. Although I have been coughing like a maniac because I lung inhale alot but I love lung inhaling. Question is, will my coughing stop after smoking vapor for a while or will you always cough a little smoking vapor?

W2G,

Although there are a ton of benefits from quitting cigs, there are also a few weird temporary health things you might experience for a few days or a few months afterwards. Even people who quit smoking but don't vape can experience them.

Yes, one of them is a temporary cough.

But this is the e-liquid part of the ECF forum. You might try posting your question in another part, as well. :)

P.S. I've had a few juices in the past that made me cough a little, like clove.. though that could also possibly be attributed to new equipment or a just a really big vape hit.

Your initial symptoms sound a little similar to what I went through when I first started vaping, the sleepiness for me was due to the dizziness I was feeling from chain vaping at 18mg. I started out at that strength because I figured I would try to match the pack a day I was smoking. After a while I decided to go down to 12mg and from there I'm now using 6mg and I still get a good throat hit which was and has been important to me and helped keep me from going back to cigs when I first started vaping. I really recommend using a lower nicotine strength, you'd be surprised how quickly that helps clear up some of the issues. You mentioned the VG and although I don't use 100% VG I've read a lot of people thin it out with distilled water and there are threads on here that advise on how to do that so check that out if you can. Many people have reported allergic reactions to PG so that could also be a factor for you. When I first quit smoking I also coughed like crazy, it was like my lungs were going through a sort of detox. It sucked but it did subside after around 3 weeks or so and since then I haven't had that terrible coughing or the dreaded smokers cough. I've been vaping for about 3 years now and cough very rarely from chain vaping. Another great thing is that when I got a cold while smoking my cough would be extra bad and painful but having had a few colds while vaping the cold actually goes away faster and I no longer have that heavy tight feeling in my lungs and chest. I hope you find information on here that helps, your symptoms do worry me though especially with the vision changes and sleepiness feelings so no matter what advice you get on here its always best to talk to a pro and see a doctor for your symptoms. I hope vaping works out for you and you find the answers you need, be safe :)

Thank you, I believe it is just to much nicotine that is going to be my next step. :)

Brand? Strength?

A pack of regular strength Marlboros would put you at about 16mg. nic

IF lights, ultra lights then way less probably 12 mg and 6mg for ultra lights

What about camel menthol regular? I'm currently vaping 12 mg around 1-2 ml a day, did I over assume my nicotine need? I used to smoke around 18 cig daily before I made the switch.

12mg is a good start if you just switched to E-Cigs, are you having any signs of dizziness or feeling queasy? If you are then you should definitely lower your nic strength. Its also a good idea to lower your nicotine if you become a chain vaper like me :) I stayed at 12mg for a long time until I started vaping more and had to lower my nic to 6mg.

Although it is sounding like you are getting too much nicotine, I'd still recommend seeing a doctor if the symptoms persist. In the meantime, you may want to get some USP VG from Walmart and cut your juice with it, thus lowering the nicotine strength. Cut it by half for 9mg and see if that is any better. If that doesn't help, order some unflavored juice - you may be having a reaction to one of the flavorings.

nothing like a self diagnosis on the interwebz:facepalm:.....OP go see a doc. Furthermore, continuing to smoke cigs isn't going to give you any dramatic change in health due to vaping. Sorry to be the bad news brigade but seriously...Go see a doctor because on these forums and any forum, everyone "thinks" they know everything and you can be severely misled.

Too much nicotine, making me tired?

Sure it could.

People will tell you that Nicotine is a Stimulate. But most people know that Stimulates can only go So Far. And then comes the Crash.

You might try taking in Less Nicotine either by Vaping the Same with a Lower mg Level. Or, what I think is Better All-the-Way-Around, Vape less with the Same mg Level.

But Don't get One Dimensional. Also remember to Drink More Water. Eat a Mixed Diet. And get some form a Exercise once a awhile.

I feel fine. At first I started with 24mg and I didnt feel good. (Back then I didn't know ECf yet. ) I assumed the nicotine was too high so I bought 18 mg juice within 3 days. That was in May. Now I'm vaping 12 mg and maybe some 0mg to enhance some of the flavor. How long did it take you to drop from 12 to 6?
