Well if it's the same atty that 18 tastes good with and 24 less so, then it can't be the atty, although if we're talking two different atties then that may be different. Use the same atty if you want to find out this difference.

It is true that nic does affect the flavor and will add a peppery taste to it, and there's enough of a difference between 24 and 18 to notice it. Zero nic will give you the best flavor of course, it's a matter of getting the nic you need though which is why we vape in the first place, if 18 is enough then great, if you need more than you need more and whatever flavor you get is what you get. You could always try different juices though if you find you don't like the taste of 24, tobacco juices in particular can be harsher, where something candy flavored can mute the taste of the nic better.

Its probably the atomizer I would think. I personally don’t like to clean atomizers beyond blowing them out from the battery end but when an atomizer tastes awful from using to many different juices in it or I put a flavour in that I don’t ever want to taste again I will let them soak in isopropyl alcohol or cheap vodka for a half hour to an hour and then blow them out from the battery terminal end sometimes using compressed air from a can. I also have put the in a 10ml syringe and sucked in & pump out with alcohol a few times & then blown them out and let dry. I never ever dry burn atomizers & personally don’t recommend it as I always have though its just a good way to shorten their life but thats just my opinion.

I'm a chronic flavor switcher - With all my regular 510 atty's i boil them for about 15 minutes in water.
then I rinse and boil them for 5 more.
Blow them out and let them dry overnight.

Only side effect was it took all the black paint off my black attys' ( i like them stainless better anyway)

Always leaves them free of left over flavour.
