Too much padding in a Tornado? (eGo?)

I've got a Tornado here from Totally Wicked... I'm lead to believe that'd just a rebranded eGo?

Anyways, I've been having some problems with the carts that came with it... few good hits at the beginning, then taste, TH, and vapor production would taper off a little.

I wanted to try something, so I took some of my polyfill (I use it in fish tank filters). It's the same stuff used in stuffed animals and crap like that. Anywho, I took the original padding out and replaced it with a very little bit of the polyfill.. just enough to barely fill the cart... not good at explaining, I can take pictures if that would help?

I figured the old padding was too thick to wick enough juice to give me good hits every time. When I swapped out for my bare minimum polyfill... I started getting REALLY good hits, and kept getting really good hits the whole time, literally down to almost the last drop. Taste stayed good as well.

Has anyone else that repacks their carts noticed that the less you use (even if it's MUCH less than what came from the factory) that you get better vapor and taste for longer?

Every video I've seen on people repacking their carts, they pretty much shove the stuff in there, I use just enough to hold the juice in and keep it from dripping... and it's a HUGE improvement.

Uploading a video, mainly because I'm really bored... but I'll link it when it's done.

EDIT: They won't let me link yet because of the newbie rules... a little too strict IMO... but...

Padding or filler can get a bit dense once its been used a few times, but yeah sometimes they pack it in too tight. It should be 'fluffy' rather than 'compacted' and Ive had enough for TWO carts from ONE old one before now, although I don't use filler anymore as I find dripping a whole lot better :)

Yeah, dripping's nice... but hard to do while driving. ;p I get the same effect from having less filler as far as vapor and taste... but I don't get to change flavors every few minutes... that's the only real drawback as I'm still trying to find "my" flavor.

I'm just glad it's not just me that had problems with there being too much filler.

I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
I'm all done w/ polyfill(hate the taste and waste). I used tea bags for a while, works much better. I experimented w/ hemp cord and that works well too. But the best is what I use now, fiberglass cloth. It is the same material as used for a wick in the atty. Been using it all week without issues, once I got the technique down. Holds 12 or more drops, no burnt taste but you can tell when it needs to be refilled. Takes 8 or more drops every time, so most of the juice is being used. You can change flavors without too much caryover taste. Try it.
