blue foam mod - word of caution/advice/tip

Rephrase: Have any of you guys tried the blue foam mod with smart or lucid carts?

No reason blufoam can't be used in the carts I asked about as they work with regular or mega atomizers just like the origional carts do (just half tank, half filler), but I see your point. Sorry...

I understand modding these for flow to the bridge is very similar to regular carts.
So I'm just wondering how they work with blu or flu etc.....

Ive modded a smart cart with blue foam and it was working but sometimes it dumps the liquid. Think its because it gets air inside the cart and pushes out the liquid. Im gonna tinker with it some more though

Is the draw and juice flow on these with blu about the same, better, or worse as compared to the regular carts with blu?

Folding the blue foam for the ego mega cart works pretty good. No leaking at all. The fold is perpendicular to the wick. I've messed around with my pg/vg ratios making the juice abit thinner so the fluval attempt could be futal.

I only have two really -- my eGo 900maH and whichever standard 510 batt is charged... so I'm gonna get another 900maH because having three PVs available would be better for me when I'm vaping hard -- taking three big hits off one, set it down, three big hits off the other, and since the first one isn't cool yet, hitting the third one

most times I get by with two pretty easily though

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that chain vapes so much I have to use more than one PV b/c it just can't wick fast enough to keep up with my vaping.

Lori -- just lay it flat on its side and it won't leak for you
it's when it's standing up that gravity pulls the juice down through the foam into the atomizer, which then leaks the juice out of the tiny air holes -- same thing happens with regular polyfill, just slower (because the polyfill doesn't wick as well as the foam)

Leaking is the main reason I gave up on my eGo Mega attys. They leaked whether they were upright or laying flat, although leaked slower laying flat. Combine the leaking with the repeated dry hits and I was fed up. I couldn't understand how I could have a dry hit with a puddle of juice between the atty and battery. So the cart w/the blue foam won't leak when left on its side?

Sorry I'm joining this conversation a little late. I just got my eGo Mega attys about 2 weeks ago (and have been fighting with them since I got them) and am finally getting some blue foam (should be arriving in a couple days - someone from PIF is generously sending me a sheet).

Np credo, i was getting big hits with the regular polyfil that it comes with when i would tip it and make sure it was on the surface but it wouldnt stay wet enough and i was tasting the burnt dry taste. It is true i wasnt having this issue with the bluefoam, it stayed wet and wicked well - no burnt taste - but when the cart gets 3/4 full or less it seems like its more likely that the liquid would run out on ya. also once u fill it, try not to take the cart off the atty till your done with it because i think that increases your chances of dumping it all out of nowhere. Ive stopped trying as of now im just using my regular carts until i get bored and want to tinker..
