Ok, so from what I read, this could be from the all PG juice. Is it as simple as that, or is it that I'm pulling too hard/long, or the "brand" of e-liquid? I have put in an order for some Ms. T's (sound delicious!) and another all VG juice hoping it lessen's the throat hit. It's funny that when I was ordering and starting out on this adventure, I thought the th would be really important to me, and now it's too much. Also, could it have something to do with the atomizer?? Thanks in advance for all the excellent help I am getting here as a noob!

Funny how everyone is so different, for me it's ALL about the throat hit, the more the better for me-me-me LOL. Can you please tell me what liquid it is and where you got it .. I dunno what too much throat hit is but sure would LOVE to find out LOL.

From what I have experienced thus far in my vaping ventures PG vs. VG is largely a part of the TH....the PG seems to give a harder TH than the VG. There is a lot of things imo that add to the different TH lvls such as actually flavoring aswell......I believe I had read that the atties also play a part into the TH, I will try and find a thread again and get that posted for ya to take a look at.

The VG juice should help the TH quite a bit.

I ordered 2.4 Honey Flue Cured PG and 2.4 HFC VG JUST to test this exact thing out, and the PG had a SIGNIFICANTLY HARDER TH than the VG of same strength and everything else.

It's just that VG has a tinge of sweetness that some peeps don't like with their flavors. Also, are you using high nic strength? That'll do it to ya too...

I'd switch to VG same nic and see if it works for you...

well hrmmmmmm....can't seem to find what I read about the atties, but check the ECF library there is a nice 6 part thread would alot of the need to know as a newb. And the ECF library has a nice simple break down of the juice differences as far as PG vs VG. I'll keep looking and hopefull should be able to find something more specific for the way the atties affect the TH.

My next question was actually going to be about nic level! Thank you for thinking ahead of me - the nic level I have right now is 18mg. The order I placed with Ms T is 14mg, so hopefully this will help. I like having some th, but not as harsh as I'm getting right now - even made me cough once today! Also - I am getting a slight headache after a few hits, so I'm thinking this may have something to do with the nic level as well - am I correct?

Stshbldr - Cappucino from Ecigbestsave - Throat hit almighty!

Higher volt behind the atty will add to TH. I haven't used the LR yet, but I get the impression they add a little to it too. Some models are better than others. What model are you using?

Try the VG, if it decreases it too much, try a mix of PG/VG.

IMHO, the ticket is to find a flavour you like, and get 1 VG (low/no nic) and 1 PG (high nic) of the same flavour. Then you can mix it to how you like your TH and vapor, and not lose flavour. VG does create a huge amount of vapor compared to PG. I've tried this with plain VG and tried flavour art tobacco flavours to bring up the flavours, but didn't care for it too much. I'm thinking of DEKANG specifically. They are getting flavoured up with their VG line, mix it with their PG and away we go. MMM flue cured. LOL. Many North American manufacturers are also making their liquids with a mix of VG and PG. I guess it's a matter of trial and error. PG has a tendancy to dry out your throat, while VG moistens your throat. The internet said so - it MUST be true!

VG and PG are BOTH humectants - VG is jsut a little less harsh but with both carriers one must drink a lot more than when smoking cigs.
VG certainly does add more vapor and PG more flavor and TH - myself I also prefer a mix :)

From what I have read, and to some extent my own experience, 510 attys have significantly more throat hit than some others. 901 attys have slightly less and burn a bit cooler. And 801 and other pen style attys like the Joye 302 vape cooler - with more flavor but less throat hit.

I have only tried 510s and 901s, and I do find the 901s "milder" but slightly more flavorful. However, ymmv.

that would be a dream come true for me---wish i could get more throat hit for sure

You want TH? I just got an eGo, no mods, straight PG 24mg Flue Cured juice and it kicks my ..... And I'm a former pack a day, 25 year smoker who loves a good TH. Way too much for me, cough my head off. I'm going to try a PG/VG mix to see if I can calm it down. Love the eGo, man what a nice little compact unit. I got the juice from ecigsupply if you might want to try it.

Flue cured is awesome juice. Being in Canada, though, Dekang is the only brand I can seem to find. I know there are others out there, though. I'm also sporting the eGo using a 510 cartomizer, and the cone, of course, to tighten up the draw. It's awesome!

In Canada, most of the juice is Dekang. Nicfitnation carries non-Dekang juice.

If you want TH, try DK-Tab 24 mg or Dekang Camel 24 mg on a LR atty with the eGo and drip. Both are usually in stock at evapers.com and vapables.com

I haven't tried Flue Cured. I have Virginia, SEC (Kent), USA Mix (Marlboro), French Pipe, 555, RY4, Camel, and Turkish Blend.

Any particular vendor for the best Flue Cured juice?

It's worth a few extra bucks to switch to the Mega atomizer and cart when you have to order new ones. The Mega carts hold about twice the juice.

I agree, the Ego is a better all around vape than the 510. I still use my 510s and usually have one loaded up with Mint Chocolate Chip, Luscious Caramel, or some other different flavor for when I just want something different.
