What Flavor are you using? I have had other flavors that feel like they hit harder (cinnamon for example).

Most likely it is exactly what Eric said. I am not familiar with the Vivi Nova, do you know what ohms it is? if it is a LR (low resistance like a 1.8) then it will also give you a stronger throat hit.

So it has nothing to do with the juice? What tank gives less of a throat hit? This vivi sometimes is too harsh on my throat

A lower nicotine content will produce less throat hit, but the coil placement of the Nova makes for a hotter vape (not really throat hit). A longer drip tip will help, and a higher resistance head will also help.

    80PG/20VG?

More PG = more throat hit
More nic = more throat hit

Like others have said with the vivi the coil is right under your lips so the vapor is hotter (it does not have a chance to cool down before entering your mouth like a bottom coil design). You may find that simply going to a bottom coil using that same juice would be ok for you.

You can try a few things to get what works best for you. Replace the 1.8Ohm coil with a 2.0-2.4Ohm coil (I forget what the vivis come in) this will help to cool the vapor off, but will produce less vapor also, on the plus side your battery might last a little longer.

You could try a bottom coil clearomizer, for example: EVOD, VapeOnly BCC, Kanger T3/MT3, again try a variety of coil heads (1.8-2.5) to perfect your vape.

Lower your PG, go for a 50/50 mix instead of the 80/20. I know my 70/30 juices give a lot more throat hit than my 50/50s. If you feel comfortable doing so you can also try lowering your nic to reduce the throat hit.

Sounds like your set, good luck!

You could always try your 80/20 in your evod or t3, just run everything under hot water if you switch to the 50/50 or the 80/20 is still too much throat hit. I run my clearos under hot water every 3-4 tanks to keep everything performing well, regardless if I'm switching flavors/juices or not. Just wipe everything off with a paper towel and make sure to dab the coil wicks off really well to remove the water, refill and vape away. It might take a couple hits to get any excess water burned off before it comes completely back to life.
