Saw on the news this morning some parts of Tucson were flooded out yesterday. Showed footage of people shovel'n muck out of their houses and businesses. Don't want to make the 1-1/2 hour drive if they are closed down.

No AzPlumber, I can understand why you wouldn't. I just had no idea Tucson had suffered anything like that. We hadn't seen anything about it on the news over here in East Texas.

Gosh, I hope FSUSA and our friends who work there didn't experience anything like that.

3" the other day. Clear skies right now. I just drove cross town with my windows down. I like the fact we are actually cooling down.

The weather has really become weird. Three inches of rain in Tucson and East Texas is turning into a dust bowl. The weather people are telling us here that the drought will continue through the winter months.

And its getting bad. Water wells running dry, towns running low on water ...

Seems like we got out of town just in time. We had monsoon rains every night we were there but nothing flooding. Now we're just heading back to Texas dodging tornado's. We've been within 10 miles of a touchdown every night since we left. Uggghhh...

I'm coming to the conclusion that our weather reporters here don't tell us very much about what's going on in other places.

Ok, so we made the drive down yesterday from our home in Mesa (hour and a half) and it was very awkward for both of us. Don’t want anyone to take this as any sort of a bad review, it is not. The place is nice and the people are nice, but I had this vision of a lounge where you could take your wife and relax for a bit. Sample some juices at your own pace and maybe watch one of the big TV’s.

Looked great as we drove up and walked in, they had a large table and chairs on the patio, several bar type tables w/ chairs and a couple of big comfy couches inside along with the big TV’s. After walking in we were immediately asked how they could help us. We explained that we were up from Mesa and just wanted to check the place out, sample some juices and needed a few parts and pieces for our E-go’s.

Well it all went very awkward from that point on. I showed her my E-go and asked if they had a cone to fit it, but she wasn’t quite sure what I had (I had an xxl dual coil carto on an E-Go battery) Final picked out a couple of cones from a limited color selection. We than decided to sample some juices and sat at one of the tables and the employee sat down with us. Nice, but a little awkward so I asked if we could have a few minutes to look at the menu book to make our selections. She left and came back very quickly (a minute) and sat down with her sampling equipment. At this point we jump right into the sampling in what tasted like a burnt atty. We really didn’t have much time to look through the menu so we were just kind of thumbing through it and picking out flavors here and there. They do have some really good flavors and we picked a number of the ones we liked and placed an order and was asked to pay will it was being made.

During our taste testing I had asked several questions about items other than juices (carto’s, atty’s, DIY juice stuff) and didn’t feel like the employee wanted to discuss this. Maybe it was lack of knowledge or maybe they just don’t care to sell parts out of the retail store. In fact she told me that they do not sell DIY juice stuff out of the store. Another odd thing was I had noticed that they had a great selection of cones and the colors we wanted in the display case. She said they can’t sell anything out of the display case. Not sure why you would be opposed to selling a display item that you didn’t have any stock of.

Don’t want anyone to be discouraged by this it is a nice place with decent prices and some really good flavors. It just isn’t a place to relax and hang out as they kind of rush you through it. We did buy some juice, a couple of cones and a couple boxes of type B tanks (asked for cartridges), but had made the long drive hoping for a lot more in equipment and atmosphere. All of our future purchases will be from a computer.

hi AzPlumber,
thanks for the feedback it is very important to Pam and I. sounds like you came in either during, or just after a huge rush. we are doing hundreds of customers out of our lounge so we are terribley extremely busy. Trust me, if you called Pam or I and said you were making the trip to check out our place we would have made sure we were around top help out.
The thing about hardware? yes we do run out of stuff, it would cost millions of dollars to fully stock everything all of the time, and we are not that large of a company.I know our competition in Phoenix well and they are unable to stock all parts all of the time too. money is not all of it, stocking the best of the best industries is not easy as companies like Joye manufacturing, you put in an order for 3000 atomizers and get 500 with an apology and excuses. Now juice? that is who we are. We don't run out of juice, no matter how busy anymore. We specialize in juice and we feel we are the finest in the world. But hardware? as I said, it would cost a small fortune to stock tons of everything and personally there will not be a walk-in store anywhere that can stock that much, all of the time, even if they had the money they would only be able to fully carry knock-off products that are cheap and junk in my opinion.
Sorry you had the experience of not having the hardware you wanted, and the burnt taste on the juices you tried? I never had anyone in the lounge complain of that, not to say that is what you experienced, but hey everyone has new atties, or dying atties that are not always perfect and we have alot of customers trying our juices all day long. I wish you asked the name of the employee who helped you, that would help us in return.
In the end we are truly a family owned company, and we always ask folks going out of their way to come visit to please let us know they are coming so we can truly make it an enjoyable experience. Check Norry's posts right here in our sub-forum, she travels everywhere but always comes back to us to visit and she always calls in advance for extra special care. Not that Iu feel that is needed by anymeans, but it sure helps to get an extra special welcome from Pam and I.
I have been in other vape stores, they are truly nowhere near as comfortable as our lounge. There are pics here on our forum for anyone who wants to see, the tv's? we have 5 large ones. the couches are very comfy and we have pinball machines, poker table and a well stock beer fridge for visitors. free sodas, free munchies on every table and a well versed staff. They know our product, not all of them know every product as I do, and you will never be able to walk into a vape store anywhere and ask them to know differentials on other products out there. Unless you are deep in this industry, they are, in the end, sales staff who never vaped before and only truly know our product.
So I would say, please, you want to come down again, feel free to call myself or Pamela in advance, you will have the best of the best for a fine vape experience
David

OH NO, there are twin little green hairy creatures with matching purple fuzzy slippers. Those Avi's are gonna confuse me...LOL

Some of us changed our avi's to honor TT who isn't feeling well and was admitted into the hospital today. As soon as he gets back, we'll give him his avi back.

I apologize if my comment above was taken as harsh, that was not my intent but wanted to be honest. Too many times only the "great" comments end up in a format like EFC and reality might be less. If a business owner only hears or sees positive than he/she has no idea what they can improve on. The place IS really nice, it is the first vape shop that we have been in so I can't compare it with any other. We just didn't get the "come and sit a spell" type of feeling that we had hoped for. Telling me that you have a comfy couch and asking me to try it out are two different critters. I now know you have a fridge stocked with beer and soda, but only after reading your post above. It was never offered, in fact after trying a number of flavors I asked if I could go to the car and bring in the Thirstbusters we had bought for the trip.

The only complaint I had about not having hardware was the color of one item that you couldn't sell because they are on display. I realize there are just too many parts to stock them all and it must be very frustrating to deal with wholesalers from overseas (glad they are not into making toilets). My main complaint was your employee was only concerned about selling pre mixed juice and I wanted to buy more than that. I have been mixing a few flavors myself and had hoped to pick up some more DIY stuff, but If pre mixed juice and kits are your focus with the retail store that's fine by me. I will continue to order parts and pieces online.

We didn't have a bad experience just not what we had expected as we felt rushed through the whole process and that the focus was on buying pre mixed juice. We did buy some awesome flavors and I will recomend them at any opp. The Hopscotch is my favorite along with the RY5 and the Budderfinger (enjoying now). My wife ended up with too many flavors to remember, but I did try her French Toast tonight and was amazed at how you nailed it, I felt like I needed a side of hash browns.

I wish you the only the best and hope that you continue to grow. I am a AZ native and sometimes travel to or through Tucson, will stop in and introduce myself next time. You are right off the freeway.
