Unfortunately the CDC study was little more than another ANTZ propaganda piece. It didn't address who, how many and what age e cig users were among the youth. It didn't identify how many of those were already smokers. They did ask "did you ever use" which they based their growth of use on.

Yes, if you check out my post above from yesterday, you'll see I sent the Dr. Siegal analysis of the real results of the CDC study.

That's great they pulled back, to research. They will need tons of links, the job isn't over.

I sent in the Polosa, Capponetto letter they had written to the CDC and published in the med journal to set the record straight about their study.

E-cigs bring lively discussion to La Mesa (CA)
E-cigarettes bring lively discussion in La Mesa | UTSanDiego.com

In the end, the council voted 4-1, with Ruth Sterling casting the dissenting vote, to have La Mesa city staff take a thorough look at the issue and come back at a later date with findings.

Regarding rothenbj's comment above, the CDC survey did inquire about smoking status of youth who reported using e-cigs.

In fact, CDC's survey found that teen smokers were at least 20 times more likely than nonsmoking teens to have reported e-cig use.

But the CDC refused to put that critically important information in its reports and press releases, and still hasn't acknowledged it (as doing so would expose CDC's Tom Frieden and Tim McAfee as liars who have committed public health malpractice).

Did I hear that OC guy right? The last speaker, in the meeting video, I swear he said "in fact, exhaled vapor contains less thingies than regular non vapor exhale", (paraphrased obviously)

Well, if germs are thingys. PG is used as an germicide for air in old-style hospital ORs.

Personally, I think the word thingys should be reserved for nanites.

And first posts in the mornings. :)
and last posts in the day.
And slump time afternoons.
Otherwise, we agree.

I don't have enough bandwidth to re listen, & was hoping others caught that.
I know the avg body detoxifies so many things it's scarey. Many of those everyday toxins exhaled. Yet, vapor has less counts of ingredients and levels. I need a manual.
