So i noticed some of the Black chrome finish was coming off the lavetube from use and started to look janky. so i figured what the hell , lets take some sandpaper to it and see what happens... to my surprise it seems to have some copper finish to it underneath... or so i thought. i dont know exactly what it is because as u can see from the picturesi managed to sand past the copper looking finish to expose some stainless steel or maybe aluminum finish. im guessing it was just stained from the chrome finish on top of it.. anyways.. check itout, whaddya think? oh and im not done with it , but this is how it looks now.

The part around the buttons and screen was its original color, i didnt feel comfortable enough to work around that lol

lol ya, i was using 320 grit sandpaper and im realling digging the color.. however i noticed on some parts ( as u can see by the pictures) there is some silver color starting to come thru... so now i am in a debacle.. do i leave it as is with the silver spots floating around here and there or should i continue to work thru this color to expose its natural color. to be honest i have never sanded anything before until now and solely did it out of boredom lol.

If the original tube is aluminum, that very well could be copper, the silver coming through would be nickel.
